Whilst he is soft he has talent though, but the reality is he's a third forward not a main guy, if you can improve the forward line he will be more dangerous.

Agree but boy has he been useless the past few weeks. No effort to run fast to the contest, half-hearted tackles, pathetic!

Just call it off. There's only about 10 minutes left. This doesn't affect anything.

I'm sick of hearing Maynard being booed, kozzie being booed, then we don't have to hear the pies song.

This season has really done a number on me..

We would have to be the softest AFL side.. it’s actually comical watching us sometimes.. how the f$$& Goodwin can keep this sh$t game plan is anyones guess😡😡

Why? He has been a good player for a long time. Maybe not as good as Jimma but give him a break he has kept at it. Stop having a go at these players who have performed consistently for a long time without injuries.

Coz he wears the black and white…

Seesh.😳

Pathetic spineless team. No heart, very little passion and barely any teamwork. Just about the whole lot of them outside of Turner.

Extremely disappointed in Viney.

I've been saying since it was first flagged on this site that McVee is not a midfielder. It's very easy to understand why.

Honestly some of our coaching department have no more of a clue than the fools on here that have been asking for it. If anyone should be getting trialled through the midfield it should be Woewoedin.

It honestly looked like a VFL vs an AFL side the entire night. One team had skill and understands how to kick to advantage, the other did not and goes out of its way to make scoring more difficult.

Terrible way to end a terrible year.

Trade Salem, soft and overated the last couple of years.

Come off the grass Mc Donald was extremely competitive. I have bagged Lever , but his organisation skills would have been very handy tonight.

However I think this was treated as a practice matcxh to try out a new style of play. Unfortunately we were undermanned and unprepared. Collingwood play this running game so it was really difficult for our blokes to be trying something so different. Firstly in this game style you need to be moving more ,not letting using delaying tactics which lets the next level setup properly.

You have got to have the right personnel to play a particular game style. Collingwood have got it with Daicos 1 & 2 etc.

There was a game this year where Crisp was sub. Ie 23rd man. So he has not really had the consecutive games under the same rules as Jimmy.

Well, unlike I suspect many of the people on this thread, I have been at the game. All our best midfielders were out. Lever and May were not playing. Free kicks were 3 to one in their favour. We made some terrible errors, but I think our players did their best and I'm not going to criticise them.

I’d do it but I seriously doubt Port would.

Port probably would just to [censored] over the crows.

McDonald has been fine, I just think why not look to the future in the KEY DEFENCE part of the ground as well, so we don't get to the middle of next year and again be swinging a defender like Petty or Turner back into defence, because 1 or 2 of our 3 X 32/33 YEAR OLD KPD's are injured. Then we're on the backfoot again reshuffling our forward line and defence.

Look to the future NOW

Well, him and most of the rest of the black and white are showing how far we are away with the skills side of things. Nothing has improved with our disposals. The kids need a big off season and show some improvement next year. Kolt runs around like a chook with his head off and I see no skills, pace in the team at all. BIG off season required.

Fritsch and ANB for Rachele and a second rounder

completely agree we should throw away our most prolific goal scorer over the past 5 years. Also our most skilled played along side Kozzi

He is never going to be a hard man. He is our finisher. When we play well he looks great like the 6 he kicked in the GF

Surely the lightning would find the highest point, in which case Max would be in grave danger.

It wouldn’t be Mason, can’t stand tall sinking the knees in.

Doesn't matter if the security people get hit by lightning apparently.  They're all standing out on the ground.

I was there as well. No issue with endeavour but our skills are terrible.

Imagine if GC and St Kilda both lose.

We lose dismally tonight.

They’ll suspend Kozzie for 4.

We don’t go up in the draft order.

We get a 7-12 fixture as opposed to 13-18.

Happy days.

Even I have not got the mental fortitude to stay to the end of this

  • GAMEDAY: Geelong

It's Game Day, and reinforcements are finally arriving for the Demons—but will it be too little, too late? They're heading down the freeway to face a Cats side returning home to their fortress after two straight losses, desperate to reignite their own season. Can the Demons breathe new life into their campaign, or will it slip even further from their grasp?

  • PREVIEW: Geelong

"It's officially time for some alarm bells. I'm concerned about the lack of impact from their best players." This comment about one of the teams contesting this Friday night’s game came earlier in the week from a so-called expert radio commentator by the name of Kane Cornes. He wasn’t referring to the Melbourne Football Club but rather, this week’s home side, Geelong. The Cats are purring along with 1 win and 2 defeats and a percentage of 126.2 (courtesy of a big win at GMHBA Stadium in Round 1 vs Fremantle) which is one win more than Melbourne and double the percentage so I guess that, in the case of the Demons, its not just alarm bells, but distress signals. But don’t rely on me. Listen to Cornes who said this week about Melbourne:- “They can’t run. If you can’t run at speed and get out of the contest then you’re in trouble.

  • NON-MFC: Round 04

Round 4 kicks off with a blockbuster on Thursday night as traditional rivals Collingwood and Carlton clash at the MCG, with the Magpies looking to assert themselves as early-season contenders and the Blues seeking their first win of the season. Saturday opens with Gold Coast hosting Adelaide, a key test for the Suns as they aim to back up their big win last week, while the Crows will be looking to keep their perfect record intact. Reigning wooden spooners Richmond have the daunting task of facing reigning premiers Brisbane at the ‘G and the Lions will be eager to reaffirm their premiership credentials after a patchy start. Saturday night sees North Melbourne take on Sydney at Marvel Stadium, with the Swans looking to build on their first win of the season last week against a rebuilding Roos outfit.
Sunday’s action begins with GWS hosting West Coast at ENGIE Stadium, a game that could get ugly very early for the visitors. Port Adelaide vs St Kilda at Adelaide Oval looms as a interesting clash, with both clubs form being very hard to read. The round wraps up with Fremantle taking on the Western Bulldogs at Optus Stadium in what could be a fierce contest between two sides with top-eight ambitions. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons besides us winning?

  • CASEY: Gold Coast

For a brief period of time in the early afternoon of yesterday, the Casey Demons occupied top place on the Smithy’s VFL table. This was only made possible by virtue of the fact that the team was the only one in this crazy competition to have played twice and it’s 1½ wins gave it an unassailable lead on the other 20 teams, some of who had yet to play a game.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

In my all-time nightmare game, the team is so ill-disciplined that it concedes its first two goals with the courtesy of not one, but two, fifty metre penalties while opening its own scoring with four behinds in a row and losing a talented youngster with good decision-making skills and a lethal left foot kick, subbed off in the first quarter with what looks like a bad knee injury.
