It’s preaching to the choir, but we have a chance on Friday to give a proper send off to Ben Brown and Alex Neal-Bulleen, as well as sticking one up the Pies.

Let’s get as many of us there as possible - I have 3 General Admission tickets which I will pass on at no cost for anyone who doesn’t have a membership and is thinking about going or maybe wants to take some friends.

Send me a pm - first in, best dressed.

After our great performance last week, Jack staying a Demon for life and strongly encouraging supporters to rock up, why wouldn’t you?

Next time we play after this Friday is a long time away.

Also honouring Hassa Mann if I remember correctly.

Can't get there, the commute from Seattle is a bear.  24 hours of travel, 16 in a tin can rattling over the Pacific plus connections.

Nice offer 3183 Dee.

Its Nibblers last game with us, he deserves a farewell to remember.

I so hope everyone who can go ..goes. As I’m oft criticised for being an “optimistic supporter “ and would go anyway …let me say that the feeling you get when you get a win that we’re  not expected to get or been under the pump media wise (which seems to be most of this year) is just incredible. But win or lose ANB & BBB deserve a  good send off so.. Go Dees

We’ll give the boys a shout for you.

But.....weather and....buses and....stuff.

Love ANB but he is walking out on us. He has always put in 100% and i don’t begrudge him leaving but no emotional send off from me when he could delay his decision if he wished. I know it’s family reasons and that is admirable but still, many players and families make sacrifices.

Happy to cheer on those staying and fighting when the going is tough though like our Captain and VC

ANB is not walking out on us, he is looking after his family who need him more than Melbourne. He is doing the right thing by his family and the club and is an absolute champion.

A chance to see another Mfc player have his career altered by a cwood player.

But that aside worth giving Anb and Bbb a good send off .

Maybe bbb could give Maynard a goodbye tap.

@Doug Reemer, sorry bud. I just can’t be fagged going this week either. That’s my excuse

🤔😤😳😂😂🤓🤓

Wrong Thread I now but hey, why not.

I’ll see myself out back to my lounge room 😬😬

I’ll be there baby. Already pumped and it’s only Tuesday!

Most people look after their family. Being a Rich young man makes it easier. Like I said, I don’t hold any ill will against him but he could stay if he wanted

The club helped make him the man he is today and now he is in the form of his career. I would have liked him to continue to repay the club

I go to virtually every Demons match at the G. But going to filth matches absolutely does my head in ... the filth team, coach and supporters make me (figuratively speaking) sick. So I won't go to any of their matches ... grand finals included. (I've been to every MCC GF since 2004 but didn't go last year ... thankfully.)

So, sorry to all, I won't be there. Please cheer a bit louder to cover my absence.

Mate you don't know anything about the circumstances, a lot of things could be the reason. There are quite a few reasons why someone might need to be around family when a new or young family.

Sure it's not great for MFC and Nibbler prob wishes he could a one club player but tbh if it's the health and wellbeing of my family or a job... It's not even a 2 second decision.

Get ANB to sign the contract this week, he lays out the Dog with a carefully timed bump and serves out the suspension in SA win/win...

Just looked at flights. The cheapest I could find on a single return ticket was for a 60-hour round-trip leaving tomorrow for just $3693.79, if anyone has spare coin. I'll buy the luker-warm Kentfield hot-dogs.

Absolutely if there are serious health/family issues we don't know about that changes things, I was just talking on face value based on what we do know

Appreciate your point of view Dub. While mine may be different it's not easy going against the grain here at the moment.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.

  • POSTGAME: North Melbourne

The Demons are finally back at the MCG and finally back on the winners list as they continually chipped away at a spirited Kangaroos side eventually breaking their backs and opening the floodgates to run out winners by 6 goals.
