Wonder if Greg Healy would make an ok ceo?

let's dredge the complete list of former MFC on-field/off-field leaders to see if we can cough up someone to take over. We can find out if they are remotely interested in the position after we complete the character assassination of the current crew!

I dont think you can credit roffey and pert with that feat. They almost fell into it as a result of the flag in 2021. You could argue they were at the helm when the numbers plateaud and fell in the years that followed.

You could also argue that it happened in their watch and can't they get credit for anything?

More to the point, I have been arguing that the supposed requests by Trac are incorrect if not fabricated. I doubt very much if he would have made the distinction that you are trying to make. I have made other arguments in support of my view as well.

i'd almost prefer liam ryan

speedy forwards who put it on the scoreboard and pressure defensively are the key part of modern footy it would seem

Just trade him to the Bloos for Cerra and a couple firsts and get it over and done with

Cerra has got a permanently damaged Hammy.

Brace yourself. If you've ever been irritated by a celebrity doing a FIFO 'awareness raising' photoshoot, you'll choke on your vomit by the time you know the full Theresa story.

Christian will be attending the Red Bull training camp overseas rather than attending the B&F.

Melbourne will look back on their 2024 season at the club’s best and fairest count in early October, but Christian Petracca won’t be there. JAY CLARK explains why.

Why Petracca will skip Demons’ B&F

From the POV that he’s training, and under a program of monitoring and watchful eyes, great. Hard injuries to return from and if he’s doing his utmost to tick the boxes that gets him confident and capable of returning to footy, fantastic. Hope it’s smooth sailing and a resounding success. All the best, trac 🤞🏻

Great to see Gus will be there on the night. Fantastic news.

Also probably wants to avoid drunk dees fans querying him/having a go at him

Seems pretty excited to get back into it. Will be good for him after how slowly he had to progress his training post-surgery.

Admittedly, I have never attended a B&F but the fans do get the chance to occasionally mingle with the odd player don't they?

It's pretty sad to say, but I'm actually a bit thankful he won't be there just out of fear of a fan, downing a few too many chardonnays and getting a bit 'passionate' towards Christian and maybe whoever he takes to the night.

Might be best just to stay away for now, get himself 100% for next year and allow everyone to fall in love again once he starts playing wonderful footy and we start winning some more games.

Getting in shape for pre-season at Princes Park 👍 [puts on kevlar helmet & flak jacket 😁]

  • REPORT: Brisbane

“Max Gawn has been the heart and soul of the Dees for years now, but this recent recovery from a terrible start has been driven by him. He was everywhere again, and with the game in the balance, he took several key marks to keep the ball in the Dees forward half.” - The Monday Knee Jerk Reaction: Round Ten Of course, it wasn’t the efforts of one man that caused this monumental upset, but rather the work of the coach and his assistants and the other 22 players who took the ground, notably the likes of Jake Melksham, Christian Petracca, Clayton Oliver and Kozzie Pickett but Max has been magnificent in taking ownership of his team and its welfare under the fire of a calamitous 0-5 start to the season. On Sunday, he provided the leadership that was needed to face up to the reigning premier and top of the ladder Brisbane Lions on their home turf and to prevail after a slow start, during which the hosts led by as much as 24 points in the second quarter. Titus O’Reily is normally comedic in his descriptions of the football but this time, he was being deadly serious. The Demons have come from a long way back and, although they still sit in the bottom third of the AFL pack, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel as they look to drive home the momentum inspired in the past four or five weeks by Max the Magnificent who was under such great pressure in those dark, early days of the season.

  • CASEY: Southport

The Southport Sharks came to Casey. They saw and they conquered a team with 16 AFL-listed players who, for the most part, wasted their time on the ground and failed to earn their keep. For the first half, the Sharks were kept in the game by the Demons’ poor use of the football, it’s disposal getting worse the closer the team got to its own goal and moreover, it got worse as the game progressed. Make no mistake, Casey was far and away the better team in the first half, it was winning the ruck duels through Tom Campbell’s solid performance but it was the scoreboard that told the story.
