Investing one of the rumoured reasons is a lack of training facilities, I find it amazing we don’t loose more players for that reason. We still have 0 movement on that front as well just goes in the to hard basket

He and the other players had a chance to help make us a big club by winning another damn premiership instead of two straight sets and now no finals.

Does he think we don’t want to be a big club too? We have one good year and we couldn’t attended and then we dish up that [censored] for the next 3 years.

Of course people are going to jump off quick right now, everyone’s [censored]
We didn’t win a flag for 57 years, we missed a couple of generations getting on the demons bandwagons because we weren’t winning flags it’s that simple.

Was the crying when speaking about the club all for show?

Hang on, is Trac not treated more favorably than others because he’s Trac?

This is life, in every organization you have more and less favorable people who get treated differently because of what they bring to the table.
Of course a star player is going to get more leniency on poor behavior than some D grader. Just as if Trac was a nobody who trashed our club publicly the club would treat him with a hell of a lot less public restrain than they have so far.

Fine. [censored] Trac. Loser.

Egg on their faces??? They’re saying that as it stands he’s not leaving, and this is the truth, AS IT STANDS. Look up the meaning of this if you don’t understand.

Also… “creditably [sic] of the club will be in question and our history of poorly managing of a once in a generational [sic] player which the club has built itself around.” WTF does this even mean??? Our history of poorly managing him???? What history????

Again, also… Tracc is the architect of his own fortunes. I’m sorry but you’ll have to find another reason to stick the boots into ‘Goodwin, Richo & Pert.’ But I’m sure you’ll find something, albeit yet another uninformed opinion.

Sorry to say WCW he is GONSKI I heard this from an Ultra reliable source! Time we all move on eh!???

Trac isn't upset that Clarry got picked over someone like Bailey Laurie. It's all a convenient excuse to get to a big club.

Man there is a lot of hate and shade thrown towards Trac.

I for one hope he stays, he is a fantastic player and we need him. This could be the making or breaking of the bonds that had been forged the years prior. A 100% honesty session should have occurred by now and let he dice lay as they land.

Adding further to that.

While Petracca does want out, Edmund says that the Demon understands a trade could be unrealistic given his huge trade value and the fact that he’s contracted until the end of the 2029 season.

Even though the 28-year-old may remain a Demon, Edmund says that a number of his teammates are unhappy with him and that relationships have been strained between player and club across the board.

“But he knows it's very difficult, and he knows he signed that seven-year contract a couple of years ago through to 2029. So, at the same time, he's realistic to where he sits,” Edmund said.

“More than a couple of those teammates are unhappy with him at the moment. They didn't like the trip to Noosa in particular, they were vocal about that and there’s been relationships strained across the board.”

How do you realistically come back from this? He is forcing the clubs hand. I think we hang him out to dry. He can goto Richmond. We can take Pick 1, F1 off their hands and Lynch (-500K). They get their replacement for Dusty.

They have good facilities, not near Casey, Melbourne based, big following.

That’s not at all what I said. He’s not a loser he’s a bloody good player, which is precisely why we are not going to trade him for a packet of chips because he’s having a hissy fit and wants to go play for a big club.

Just as we weren’t going to throw Clarry out for peanuts when he was melting down.

The parallels with Ben Simmons cannot be avoided. This is a wild implosion.

Agree, no trade

OR send him to Richmond or St Kilda...

Today I’ve informed Demonland of my desire to be traded to Bomber Blitz. I’d like the opportunity to have my irrational meltdowns in front of a bigger crowd.

Thanks for your understanding.

I agree. I have sympathy if this is about his injury and the trauma associated with it. But if this is just about playing to bigger crowds and cracking the sads because we put our arms around a troubled player then he can get lost. I'd much rather an in form Clarry, vines and Rivers in the midfield. If we managed to get a proper forward who could ruck then I wouldn't mind so much. This should never have gone on this long and if tracc's management had any sensibility they would have handled this way better. This makes the club look so bad and it's just not right.

You basically just named McKay but with his kicking that’s a dead end we will have a 60 goal fwd and never make finals

How’s life in Disneyland?

He’s coming off like a bloke who’s never faced any kind of adversity ever & he’s not handling it well.

And whoever is advising him may not be giving him the best advice.

it’s a bad look to not make a statement to the supporters yet he’s able to keep churning out his sponsored social posts. Says something about the priorities.

(And yes I know the posts scheduled & committed to in advance but those schedules are easily changed)

The more I read about what he's allegedly said the more he comes across as bit of a tøsser to be honest. Wants to leave because we don't pull in the crowds? Tell Toby Greene that.

Dees need to say.

We aren’t trading you.  That’s it.

Plenty of examples of this and club- player bond being repaired.

This is also true. Neale, Papley are just two that come to mind.

We have state of the art facilities at Casey and at AAMI park.

The desire to play in front of large crowds dates back to long before his current injury.

IMHO… He’s a diva.

He’s definitely gone then!!

I’d take just the picks, I think lynch is looking for one last bonus to whoever would bite

  • GAMEDAY: Richmond

It's Game Day and the Demons return to the MCG to face the Tigers in their annual Blockbuster on ANZAC Eve for the 10th time. The Dees will be desperate to reignite their stuttering 2025 campaign and claim just their second win of the season. Can the Demons dig deep and find that ANZAC Spirit to snatch back to back wins?

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

A few years ago, the Melbourne Football Club produced a documentary about the decade in which it rose from its dystopic purgatory of regular thrashings to the euphoria of a premiership victory. That entire period could have been compressed in a fast motion version of the 2025 season to date as the Demons went from embarrassing basket case to glorious winner in an unexpected victory over the Dockers last Saturday. They transformed in a single week from a team that put in a pedestrian effort of predictably kicking the ball long down the line into attack that made a very ordinary Bombers outfit look like worldbeaters into a slick, fast moving side with urgency and a willingness to handball and create play with shorter kicks and by changing angles to generate an element of chaos that yielded six goals in each of the opening quarters against Freo.

  • NON-MFC: Round 07

Round 7 gets underway in iconic fashion with the traditional ANZAC Day blockbuster. The high-flying Magpies will be looking to solidify their spot atop the ladder, while the Bombers are desperate for a win to stay in touch with the top eight. Later that evening, Fremantle will be out to redeem themselves after a disappointing loss to the Demons, facing a hungry Adelaide side with eyes firmly set on breaking into the top four. Saturday serves up a triple-header of footy action. The Lions will be looking to consolidate their Top 2 spot as they head to Marvel Stadium to clash with the Saints. Over in Adelaide, Port Adelaide will be strong favourites at home against a struggling North Melbourne. The day wraps up with a fiery encounter in Canberra, where the Giants and Bulldogs renew their bitter rivalry. Sunday’s schedule kicks off with the Suns aiming to bounce back from their shock defeat to Richmond, taking on the out of form Swans. Then the Blues will be out to claim a major scalp when they battle the Cats at the MCG. The round finishes with a less-than-thrilling affair between Hawthorn and West Coast at Marvel. Who are you tipping and what are the best results for the Demons?

  • REPORT: Fremantle

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.
