Can I have some of whatever youโ€™re on? I see a guy who gets it done rather than a star with JVR.ย

There's none so blind as those who will not see.

When Cal talks about p6. Whilst all the recruiters reckon itโ€™s Smillie @ 6, Cal wonders whether Tiges jump on Allan here knowing both Dees & Saints are interested.

We will grab Allan at 5, Tauru at 9 I can see it now

Tauru wonโ€™t get passed the Saints or a trade up for the second saints pick, I donโ€™t believe they wonโ€™t trade if they get a great offer.

If Richmond want to take Allan at 6 thatโ€™s fine. St Kilda take 2 of Draper, Smillie, Travaglia. Weโ€™ll snap up the one that gets through or pivot to Lindsayย

Yes, yes it is.

That's the only way I can see it potentially, but the whole trying to turn defenders into forwards doesn't sit well with me at all.ย

If we're desperate for a key forward then grab someone like a Jobe Shanahan who's a natural key forward and proven at VFL level that he can kick goals.

HENCE Petty forward is doomsday stuff!!

This is my prediction.

Richmond - Lalor

North Melbourne- FOS

Carlton - Smith

Adelaide - Langfordย

Melbourne - Taura

I could go Allan 5, Reid 9, thank your mother for the rabbits.ย

1. Lalor, 2. Tauru, 3. FOS, 4. Draper - then we take Smith with 5

When pick 9 comes up, if we like 3 players still available, we offer Smith to Richmond for 10 and 11

ย

I am assuming this is possible/allowed, but havent looked at rules about trading on draft night

Same as Fox Footyโ€™s Phantom.

Could easily be the way it goes but quietly hoping that North pick Tauru or Adelaide pick Draper.

See what Cal comes up with this afternoon I guess.

I'm convinced we'll take Tauru with 5 as well now.

@Demonstoneย Here's another one for you. I've seen this version of Tauru written so often that I thought Admiral Yamamoto and Commander Fuchida had started posting on Demonland.ย

* Tauru.

You're not allowed to spell his name incorrectly unless we draft him.ย ย :D

And with pick 5 in the best draft in years, MFC select.... a medium defender

ย

I trust JT but he will test that trust if he does this

This site if we trade picks on draft night will be a thing to behold!

ย

[Insert meme here]

Tauru is a gun and will be very happy if we draft him. Particularly with our KPP needs. Along with Travaglia and Lalor he is one the most aggressive and competitive players in the pool.ย

Puts added pressure on getting pick 9 right with a mid but we have one of the best in the league choosing so I'm comfortable whichever way it falls.

Allan, Lindsay, Hynes, Berry, Reid at 9 with the potential for Smillie or Travaglia still on the board. Can't complain with any of those players.

It's a clear sign that we intend to Zero in on him.ย  ย (IYKYK)

If we draft Tauru, I think it shows how much optimism the club has that both Petracca and Oliver will both be back to their best next season.

I reckon we would be placing a lot of importance on competitiveness and characterย

Any idea who is best on this front in the top 10?

I personally think that is a bit of a stretchโ€ฆ. Probably more likely they think there is no point building a draft strategy alongside a scenario that may or may not happenโ€ฆย

I appreciate your optimism, but ending up with say Tauru and Lindsay, when just a couple days ago we were eyeing off Langford/FOS/Smith and Allan, is uninspiring to say the least

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chancesโ€”plenty of themโ€”but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Portโ€™s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmyโ€™s inclusive bannerโ€”"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwoodโ€™s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.ย

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecastโ€”20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze โ€” expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.
