Especially if we miss finals again However Clarry worth can't be much worse than it is now (Cats would have screwed us with a 2nd rounder) Trac is under an injury cloud. So if it does happen hopefully we don't regret and can actually get more for them 3
Willmoy1947 4,261 Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 Two things.....Are we creating a confused atmosphere where Trac is perceived to be under a permanent injury cloud though the whole year 2025? Put up your hand if you were one of the ones who said Petty was gone, thinking of going, heard he was going {reliable source} knew he was going or just gullible enough. 1

We need to get players in who are quick and good by foot. 2 1 1

Forget how teams our winning flags atm, it's all about how the next team wins a flag and although I'm doubtful it'll be us it won't be because we didn't trade Oliver for a peanut. 11 1 1
Willmoy1947 4,261 Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 Don't you have to get the ball? He gets the ball. 2 1 1

Come on now, when Oliver is up and going his ability to get the hard ball and breaking out of congestion then quickly dishing out to someone in space by hand is the best in the comp. A fit and firing Clarry is the he key, his hand was buggered all year and admittedly fitness not up to scratch. He owes us & deserves one last chance to get back to the form of his first 150 games Getting good ball users is they key when given the space by Clarry 11 1
demoniac 1,337 Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 If Oliver can keep addressing his non football issues then he may get back to the elite fitness levels AFL demands and once again be a valuable player for the Dees after 2 years of effectively zero production due to those non football issues. Will he be at the Dees in 2025? We'll know at the end of trade period. Sometimes reservoirs of patience and energy can be exhausted. Football clubs are no different. 2

He answered pretty honestly considering what's been going on. Whether he is the right man for the job should always be up for debate but hanging him for that interview....i don't think so. He didn't "Roffey" it. Feels to me that Pert's walking away unscathed and considering where we find ourselves that's plain wrong imho. I don't think our President and board are up to the job and I hope the reviews point the spotlight firmly in their direction. As for Pert, I hope we're actively looking for a replacement. Judge and jury, what the hell, just lynch them all, they made us embarrassed and angry so they deserve to die. What about the clubs that we have been talking to “confidentially” do you think they may have reasons to leak the confidential discussions to the media. Oh by the way Tom, Mitch etc we are having Clayton meet a couple of our boys out on the Farm, I think Geeelong haven’t gotten over the embarrassment of that Slaughter in the Preliminary Final. Our recruiting team were hung out to dry in the public domain. Who can Tim Trust.??? 1

Good point about Tracca Wilmoy1947 he is in Austria preparing his body for a big 2025 we should expect the warrior that he is to be ready to go at the end of preseason.
Gorgoroth 13,220 Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 Just think, if Clarrie gets fit of mind and body and his hand is healed, His ability to get the ball out to Windsor who could then break lines is very appealing. Windsor and Trac bursting could be key to a faster moving team especially from stoppage. 9

That he should be in the AFL website - which should be objective- is a joke. He is all about how great "Jezza", "Danger" or Scott is, and also, if he can get half a chance to slag off Melbourne he jumps at it. He clearly has an agenda: to destabilise Melbourne and Oliver and thus get Oliver to Geelong. And BTW, if Clarry is past it and out of date in his style, why is everyone so interested in pursuing him? I hope and believe he will be at Melbourne next year, hopefully on his way to his THIRD AFLCA medal. 9 1
