Carroll - excellent all day? He played very well, but was terrible in the first quarter. Think Robbo did well when the opportunity arose, so his review was harsh. As far as PJ goes, why did we take him off in the last quarter?

happy to be corrected but wasnt it Carrol who simply moved aqway from the mark allowing grant the easy run around goal?

Bell - dashing but loose

Loose? How many goals did his various opponents kick?

His forward thrust was brilliant today.

As for Robbo, he had as much influence as he possibly could have given the ball got nowhere near our forwards for 3 quarters. It was a good return match.

Ward and Brown are symptomatic of Melbourne at the moment. Lots of possessions for no return.

a lady in front of us was saying brown was one of our best at 3/4 time and then they showed he was leading possestion getter on the ground and was a little smug until we said how many of his disposals have HURT the opposition??

bizzel and carrol were fantastic today.

conceding only 8 goals to 3/4 time considering the amount of times the ball went inside 50 was fantastic.

carrol's marking is strong

im now convinced Miller has amongst the teams worst football brains. takes too long to decide...and then invariably wrong.

Game thoughts:

Number one: DO NOT play on when you are under pressure or your teammates are not in the position u will kick the ball to. Too many times players played on and there was noone to mark the ball

Number 2: DO NOT put other players under pressure. Too many of our experienced guys did this

Number 3: Tackle

Number 4: Buzz to line up each week till Bartram returns

Dont know why brown gets bagged so much

Thought Miller played ok must get out of habit to h/ball first option.

because he doesnt offer anything to the side, cant kick, always takes the bad option and never does anything damaging with the ball

cant blame Robbo too much...delivery to him was woeful!! bordering on disgusting really.

we need to go back to basics and learn some fundamental skills of this game.

Some drongo dees supporter called up MMM after the game to single out players that weren't going to take Melbourne foward to win a flag, and he managed to single out N.Carroll, P.Johnson and S.Grodfrey.

Not sure what game he was watching, or if he has been watching any lately, but if you visit these boards and are reading this. YOU ARE AN IDIOT!

Bell wasnt loose and kept the abysmal (on the day) dwards reasonably quiet, though Edwards had chances to kick a few. Wouldnt say that was Godfrey's best game - his man Harvey was influential for the Roos.

Miller - Stop handballing it!!!!!!!!!!!!! Every time he got the ball he would look around to handball it off and if there wasn't an option he would waste even more time looking for someone to kick too

I recon Carroll was best of the defenders...even better than biz

Bizzell was sensational.

Bruce played a ripping game, and only made one mistake by foot which is a nice change.

Neita showed he is still a force.

McLean will be better for the run.

Paul Johnson is now miles ahead of Jamar, his tapwork was good today and his impact around the ground absolutely shits all over what Jamar can do.

Godfrey kept Harvey semi-quiet.

Jones is just an unreal talent.

The most ironic thing that happened today was that it was pretty obvious that Frawley needs some time at Sandy to get his game back up to the level it was before he got injured

Brad Miller - AFL's worst player

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

    TRAINING: Thursday 9th January 2025

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
