Too far. We can’t take a [censored] trick.

Haven’t seen a step count replay yet. Any other big club would’ve had replay after replay and the commentators saying “we don’t want that in our game”

Has Windsor hit a target by foot or hand in the past 6 weeks?

He’s running on fumes, but there’s no one to come in for him.

Just to add to that, something died in me that night vs Collingwood.

Me too

He called it for high contact. I hit rewind and watched it again. There was no head high contact. 100% paid for the reason you stated.

Umpires are getting under my skin. You know what town you're in. Stevic you rat. Thirteen steps is too many?

I know we've always been a low skill-level team, but damn this year it is so incredibly painful watching us try to move the ball up the field.  Every possession is a 50% chance of morphing into a turnover.

Was that the one where the umpire took forever to blow this whistle, but the crowd were booing so he thought he better do something

i think the pressure just builds as the season goes on. i don't think he is running on fumes. he'll be better for the run.

Rivers took 13 steps.

After 4 howlers against us for goals last week now 6-1 frees and a goal taken off us AGAIN.

When I think of Charlie Cameron I think of a motorbike revving then I think of John Denver then I think of a plane crashing into a mountain then I feel better.

Good to see all of JVR, Turner and Petty clunk a mark or two early.

Effort  and energy is good as are  the attempts to move the ball. I just need some composure and a touch of luck (Rivers robbed). Hopefully we dont drop our bundle and go again.

At least we are playing like we give a s—t . But the end of the day one goal a quarter ain’t going to cut it. Umpires playing to home ground crowds makes me puke.

In fairness the handball from lever was at his feet

The ump had clear line of sight

What a corrupt shizenfest this game is

As soon as you see umpire 22 on the field you just know the game is cooked

I really feel that they paid the free kick to Lohman because everybody stopped and looked guilty. Looked like just a normal body spoil on the smaller player.

We look good tonight. Some good signs. AMW,The Duke, Tina.

Just re-watched the Rivers non goal 9 -10 steps max. Ridiculous

I counted roughly 15 but that's fair also.

Nick would be allowed another 5 meters!

It was also paid by the umpire 50 metres away, not the guy right there.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line
Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
