We nearly pulled a victory out of a certain defeat.

We didn't deserve to win, but god it hurts to go down by less than a goal yet again.

I feel so depressed.

I have never almost cried after a defeat, but the tears were close to coming after today.

But you've all hit the nail on the head here; we cannot expect to win when we kick two points in an entire thirty minutes of football.

It is just absurd.

And so is the fact that McLean eats a kilo of yoghurt every day.

The club has gone mad.

Why did Johnson play on :(

Don't blame him. He had no one in front of him and was practically standing on the line. Anyone else would have done it. It was just unfortuante.

Why did Johnson play on :(

why did we stand still when the last kick out was about to be taken

why was no one on the other side of the ruck contest friom that boundary throw in amongst the 4 roo player

why is the coach still there

why was green playing back pocket

why did ward stand 10 meters away from grant in the 3rd quater at the 50m mark

why did ward and brown get a game

why did we have 5 talls and no crumber in our F50 so when we kicked it in they just ran it out with ease

why did we handball all day long to someone 2 foot away

why did ward ask for the handball from carrol when he was 3 inches away

why, why why

we didnt deserve to win that game, but it just shows that we are lacking leadership on and off the ground, a game plan and the brains to play smart football

oh yeah and the roos are not that good, actually a very average team

we've had injuries, players are now coming back. kangaroos are a very average team. questions now need to be asked. our ability to disappoint is infinite.

We lost the game in the first 3 quarters, thats what make it so frustrating. They seem to persist at kicking the long bomb hoping Neitz or Robbo could take a big mark, a defenders dream. They Finally changed tack and we nearly won. I cant take much more of this. Someone has the take the blame and at the end of the day it lies with the coaches.

as pezza alludes.. ( though mabe for differing reasons ) the score belies the reality.

Th eroos ough tto have shat all over us save for one quarter of decent footy and the inability of the roos to find the big sticks today.

I wont discuss the coaching.. we all know about it.. for a chnage I'll point straight at the players for th most part.

A couple of areas let us down week in week out. We have the inability to deliver a ball in any meaningful way constantly putting the next demon inthe firing line or off his stride. Its just plain pathetic to watch. Again I say we cant as a team kick for nuts !!...and preceding any ability to kick is out decision making... do we have any.. time after time we sell our players into hospital situatoin...do they have shares in MBF or something! also exaple... Johnson not thinking at crucial moment of game....that could have won it..instead it stuffed it up !! well done fool !! cant blame him for poor thinking...he just DIDNT think !!.

We arent a team...quite frankly we are a shambles...the score flattered us...again !!.

Still no closer to a win !!

now where are all those who thought we wouldnt be 9 for none now ??.

good to see some glimpes of footy today...unfortunately you have to do it for the majority of the 120 ?? we cant ..simple as that.

Gutted...

Only got themselves to blame though. As usual only played 1 quarter and forgot about the other 3.

Welcome back Bizzell, he played a great game.

could not believe it when i heard it and saw the action unfold with 17 seconds to go... or should i say 1:19 to go...

then i knew it was over ... although i kept watching i knew this was our worse start to the season since when i cant remember ...

No it was bad judgement. How did he conclude that he was free to do it?

He clearly wasn't.

But its just one of many things mainly in the first 3 quarters that buried us.

He was just unlucky. You call him a fool .... he was a big reason for our last qtr comeback, he played superbly. Gibson made a freak tackle, it was just one of those things. You ask any player in the league, including the high and mighty Judd, and they would have played on as well.

You are the fool.

at 3/4 time I msged friends wondering why we weren't 100 down, we were so pathetic.

why did it take until the last quarter to get started. did they even kick backwards once in that last quarter?

Posted
Would of been a joke if we won.

Totally Agree with you FitZ. A team can't get away with a win by only placing 1 good quarter of footy. We saw in the space of a half, Melbourne's best and worst. All i ask for is 4-quarters of football. That's not asking much is it? I mean that's what they're paid to do, right?

I really don't see how North have strung 6 wins together, they looked very average to me.

if a melbounre player made that same tackle i bet you 99 times out of 100 the filthy maggotty umpires would have called a free kick against us............bastards. oh yeah we didnt deserve to win but a great final effort for once.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
