Anyone notice that the club gave Kynan his father's first jumper number when he started.  No. 41.

Perhaps playing a different role SthSea22, we shall soon find out.

I simply cannot justify his inclusion

10 touches per game

Cant wait to see what hair style Nathan Carrol is rocking when he presents his jumper to Brown

Don't want to be a party pooper

How does Kynan get a game in front of AMW?

Not sure, but suspect it's based on the club seeing AMW as a defender, and therefore has to replace, Bowie, McVee or possibly Salem.  Not saying they are in great form, but they aren't our poorest contributors either.
Brown seen more as a small forward currently, and as such there is an opening in the team.

So McAdam can't get another crack

Fortunately for you, we have the match committee to do that role, you can take the night off 👍
10 players had 10 or less touches for the game when we played the Pies a couple of weeks ago.  The kid isn't going to be a midfielder yet.

Asking the wrong guy :)  but he looked ok in the VFL a couple of weeks back, but did very little in the AFL in his first 3 games. Maybe he's been asked to work on some areas of his game in the VFL and will get another crack soon.

Bound for the Swans, as his third club, next year then?

Game-saving tackle for his first touch; forget the dime-a-dozen ”goal with his first kick” - that’s a memorable stat to be really proud of.

Like his Dad, first game was a cliff-hanger win - Doggy’s being a famous Princes Park 2-pointer against Carlton.

Well done young fella!

May I ask where people got the 'VFL 10 disposals a game' figure from? The source was not reality.

https://vfl.aflmstats.com/player/Kynan_Brown

And for the other thing people were sulking about; players making their debut as sub is completely normal. Kynan wasn't even the only debut-sub player that day.

Anyway, Brown looked like a nervous excited kid the whole time, but I'm glad his son quickly found his focus! 😁

Just watched replay what the hell is wrong with Clayton?

Absolute liability so far off its sad to watch

6 years to go and $6000000 What do we do ?He is a shadow of his former self hard to watch

Clarko doesn't think so had a hard tag all game.

Everyone knows Oliver is struggling at the moment and everyone is also terrified of being the one who plays him back into form because it would be a disaster for any opponent.

Oliver regaining form would be like giving back the missing limb of a three-legged dog. We'd go sprinting just for the joy of it and there would be no restraining us.

Only got 10 minutes ,  in my view should have been much longer.

but that 4 point saving tackle, quick and a hard tackle saved us last night. Will live for a long time those 10 minutes.  And the faces of old Dog and Yse sitting in the stands  really great.

go Dee’s    A win is better than a loss but a zero score in the last .  ?

100% agree on playing time. If your going to announce a debut and make a big deal of you should probably do so if you plan to play the kid in the 22. I think the same for any debutant. Sitting on the bench burning nervous energy isn't great IMHO.

Why not.  He is not exhausted

His was close to another Schache debacle.  Really Simon has just scraped in by his teeth in this one.

Slow learner Simon imagine the ruckus if he didn’t use our sub AGAIN.

Instant dismissal or resignation!!

Gee his match day methods are archaic at times.

Unbelievably negative and so disappointing just shows why he should have let Josh Shak Attack have his 15 mins in the sun. We might have won!!!!!

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
