Sydney's Luke Parker ran past the ball and elbowed a Frankston player in the face, forcing him off the ground with a broken jaw. It was totally off the ball and not a football act. I disliked Parker how he mocked an Essendon player for being weak. But his actions were weak and now dislike him even more now.

Shouldn’t play again this year if they are fair dinkum

Googled "Luke Parker Frankston" and just saw the incident - a disgusting act. I hope they absolutely throw the book at him. Disgrace.

Parker must have had it in for the frankston player for what ever reason. How can a guy do that when they are trying to get back into the seniors???? 6 weeks.

Was a shepherd style bump on a bloke 5m behind the ball and Parker running opposite direction

I suggest the damaging contact was back of head to cheek rather than elbow or arm. No excuse tho, he chose to spear a bloke that wasn't in play and not expecting it - Parker responsible for the consequences

Grub act

He was near stationary.
Both feet planted.
In this new world he might get a couple weeks cause the bloke was KO'd but the Karens calling for his head need to get a grip.
Play on I say.

Looks like a high shepard. However the ball was loose, so no excuse for him not to go for the ball. Plus he clearly got him high with severe impact.

Minimum 4 weeks I'd reckon.  VFL and AFL have slightly different disciplinary systems so it's hard to line up this incident with similar ones at AFL level.

Dog act though.  Totally unnecessary

  • Demonland changed the title to Luke Parker Strike in the VFL

Looked like a legit shepherd gone wrong except that none of his teammates had the footy.

So not sure what he was attempting to do.

To me it has the strong whiff of a frustrated player taking his anger out on an opportune target. Reminiscent of Alex Rance whacking a prostrate Jack Watts in the back of the head after being beaten in a marking contest a few years ago.

I think that’s about right, but wouldn’t be surprised if it’s more. Pretty ordinary act.

Kozzie would have gotten 10 weeks plus 3000 articles about what a thug he is

Parker? Hardly been mentioned

Play on?
The player was hospitalised with facial fractures from all reports.

It was totally unnecessary from Parker.

Do they have a tribunal process in the VFL? 4 weeks is insufficient.

lifted slightly to get him high. Shoulder breaking his jaw.

This should end your season, doing this in late May.

Yes, they do have a tribunal...I would think he will have to front it.
