Yes most of us would think that. Lions had only kicked 4 goals for the game. Then at 9 minutes to go, he says “ the Lions need the next goal” and at that point they are nearly 5 goals down.

Maybe I am being a bit hard, as most of them are just ex footballers, not professional sport commentators.

They’ve had a joke of a draw, and I reckon this is the first good win they’ve had all year.

We will see last week as an anomaly in Brisbane's form. They can't bring that intensity every week. They got up after media scrutiny. They are back to being fractured as a team and will struggle, occasionally putting everything together to pump a side. Like Port over the last few years.

I’m not taking anything out of this Geelong win. The Lions are terrible in the wet. Result could be completely different if it was dry.

 

Gee Fagan will be disappointed.  I know it's tough conditions,  but of course rayner plays his best game against us.
