6 May - in all-Australian form.

5 Oliver - our human dynamo is back.

4 Gawn - won most of his duels.

3 Petracca - monstered several opponents.

2 Chandler - lively and accurate.

1 Pickett - added the X-factor.

With apologies to Salem, Viney, McDonald, and Lever in an excellent team performance.

Up until just before 3/4 time I think Kozzie thought he was 195cm ,trying to take marks in packs. Stayed on the ground and he would have kicked 5

6. Gawn - just quietly grinding out three Brownlow votes against an All-Australian opponent with a monster for backup.

5. Billings - bonus points for how important it could be for our season if he has rediscovered this level of form. His best game since 2021.

4. Petracca - Continuously involved the way a star should be.

3. Oliver - Continuously involved the way a star should be.

2. May - not all of his kicks were long up the left! Also a generally terrific tall defender I'm told.

1. Chandler - bonus point for how different 'good' Chandler is compared to 'slump' Chandler.

Very even team performance, which is exactly what Goody would have demanded!

6.  May  -  outstanding all game.  We would have struggled without him.
5.  Gawn  -  showed why he’s the best leader in the game (and the best ruckman)
4.  Oliver -  what a game in the circumstances.  Just makes me so happy!
3.  Petracca  -  just did what Tracc does best!
2.  Billings  -  great game.  Confident he will be a great acquisition for our team.
1.   Chandler -  great turnaround from last week.

We are looking good!

6. May. Solid as a rock and showed good aggro in the contests.

5. Oliver. Showed good composure late in game and started to lower eyes as game went on.

4. Billings. Good pressure and run all day.

3. Petracca. Won crucial contests later in game and stood up to quell Dogs momentum.

2. Viney. Set the tone early.

1. Windsor. Has some serious quick and smart decision making skills.

Didn't you see Jack Billings take 15 marks and hit about 90% of his targets on the chest????

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
