We look terrible

Foot skills atrocious and I hate that I’m basically watching the same games we played last year to burn games.

how have we not practiced this?

 This team is very frustrating

Laurie and Spargo - no room for both, even if one of them.

Frittata non competitive.

AND they take every chance, we take none.

People on this site often complain about Hunter but Langdon has been getting let off the hook to easily. He's been underwhelming for a while now.

i remember the feeling of following the Demons

Fantastic to see that true Melbourne football is on display tonight!

HOW IS THIS A GAME PLAN!? It's exactly the same?

Cannot buy a HTB in our forward line. Sydney has had a few.

Can a forward take a f###ing Mark?!

How is a commentator saying ‘there is no movement in the F50 for Melbourne’ and then laughing??????????

That is a comment I’d expect from an under 12’s game

Roo, the Shack & Big Maxy all went up there.  Terrible

1 goal from over 20 insides 50s. Abysmal. Nothing has changed. Skill level and method is poor.

Shell of his old self I'm afraid.

Has Goody noticed our fwd line is a mess .

Can he make a change?

Wait for him to get Melbourne'd (yes, I'm bringing it back.)

I can't believe how hard we make it for ourselves. It is astonishing.

Watching us play is like trudging through quicksand

So much effort, so little reward

It's frustrating and demoralising

He's not alone

I'd drag the next champion that does an underground handball.

I hope Hunter's ok soon so we can drop Langdon.

Move Tracca fwd coz it ain't working Goody.

We would have to be number one in the comp for sub one metre handballs.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
