Could someone out there tell me this: If the Lions lose the qualifying final, then win the semi, and the Ds win their qualifying final & then play the Lions in the prelim … who has the home ground ??

We do. It would be played at Ikon.

Umps love both Crom and Lions so much they don't know what to do today.

Great result!!

Brisbane d Adelaide opens up the possibility of a home GF for us if we win the QF and PF in Melbourne.

if Adelaide make the GF do they still get home ground advantage against us should we win our next two?

Just saw the Crows v Bears score. All set up for Melbourne based games against both of them if we get past North. Everyone else involved in finals really are just making up the numbers this season.

If we beat North and Adelaide win next week, we'll meet in the prelim. Dees home game. The only way we can face Adelaide in the gf is if we lose to north, adelaide and us both win in week 2 of the finals and then we both win away prelims, us vs bris, adel vs north. Adel would then have a home gf against us....seems pretty remote

Hope the girls step in up tomorrow and make a statement.

There for the taking now

You know what the most Melbourne thing the girls can do from here…

Bring.

On.

The.

Syndrome.

I think lips are the boogy team for the top 4.  I think it's great they won today, but we need to win tomorrow at all costs (Obviously). they we won't need to face them again until hopefully GF in Melbourne.

Go Dees for tomorrow.  I hope all the Dee's supporters get there to make a massive home ground crowd for the girls.

I saw it and was amazed how many times Brisbane kicked it into a Brisbane free front half. Must admit it was a gutsy win, but they looked a lot better against us last week.

They were brutal against us last week and on their game again today.

I'd also note 18 contested marks today (9 each) is quite a high number and contributed to the high quality game I saw.

  • Demonland changed the title to NON-MFC: AFLW FINALS

Lions win opens it up for us but we can’t look further than north. It’ll be a tough game. Can’t afford any complacency.

bears are the most physical aflw side i've seen

‘Physical’ is putting it mildly. They are to the AFLW what Collingwood are to the AFL… Thugs.

Looking forward to Essendon ending the 8 million days without a finals win today.

Essendon getting pumped. May their drought continue for a long time yet.

  • CASEY: Southport

The Southport Sharks came to Casey. They saw and they conquered a team with 16 AFL-listed players who, for the most part, wasted their time on the ground and failed to earn their keep. For the first half, the Sharks were kept in the game by the Demons’ poor use of the football, it’s disposal getting worse the closer the team got to its own goal and moreover, it got worse as the game progressed. Make no mistake, Casey was far and away the better team in the first half, it was winning the ruck duels through Tom Campbell’s solid performance but it was the scoreboard that told the story.
