Need to avoid being the first team in the current finals system to go out in straight sets two years in a row.

Wild to think we haven’t won a final since 2021.

We will. The media can go and get .....

Seems to be a Carlton intra club going by the media.

Also we have umpire #22 so #freekickcarlton will be in full effect.

Faaaark why is this umpire doing finals?!

I'll be heading in quite early today to enjoy a couple pf pre game coldies. Perhaps I should call it a pre game celebration as I'm extremely , highly, fully confident of a win!

There has been a lot of criticism of selection but to this I say 'bah" - we could play the drovers dog at CHF and still beat these pretenders.

Prediction - All over at 3/4 time.

Can’t wait for the bounce. Boys better respond. We’ll know early if we’re going to win this. I predict a hot start, the boys will want to get themselves in a position to have another crack the filth on the 30th.

If we aren’t running through walls and ready to absolutely explode tonight we will lose

Looks like Ray Comfort.

Trac, Viney, Lever and a few other senior players disappointed last day out. They won't be as poor again.

Dry deck so no excuses for poor goal kicking. TMac and Fritsch will be better tonight

Carlton faded badly against the Swans and should have lost. We'll run over the top of them.

Max to lead the way as usual. He's a champion.

Just cannot see how Smith and Tmac as our two main talls are going to kick a winning score. Chandler and Pickett have barely fired a shot the last couple of weeks as well.

The brunt of it all will be left to Fritsch unfortunately.

Carlton have all the momentum and emotion wave going with them where as I question if the the mental and emotional toll from all the Brayshaw fallout will have an effect.

Prove me wrong otherwise Melbourne.

Pretty sure your not alone in thinking this. Throw in Spargo whose been out of this team for a while and yea, it's a nervous wait.

And Tom McDonald you have been given quite a few chances.

But Im hoping Fritta will excel in these dry conditions and Kozzie and Chandler to put on the proverbial clinic.

Let's move the ball into our fwd line with speed and precision.

No way Viney will have another quiet one. He will dominate tonight.

The big factor in this game is motivation. I imagine this close knit bunch are still fuming over poor Gus.

Not just the dog act itself but over all  the pundits who supported it.

The same ones who are delighting in hoping we lose four finals in a row.

Aint gunna happen.

If Gus does the pregame talk, we will win this on pure adrenaline.  This will not be a slow start.

The blues caught us napping a few times last game we met, but things have changed.

If I can quote that strange orange man, I think this will be a game of "fire and fury" from us.

I'm still so pi33ed off, I just want us to play a gf now so we can have some old fashioned justice. And I know it's wrong to advocate violence but I just really don't care. The Afl certainly doesn't.

Cannot [censored] wait!

The Carlton sphincters were working overtime late last week.

If we bring the pressure, I think we run over them.

We'll be fine tonight...  with our finals experience....
Yep all good ...oh wait...lost our last 3 finals... going well..hmm

We'll  need to be ON from the first bounce... that'd be novel !!

Goodwin is backing his system  ( there is NO fwd system )..  he is expecting the goals to come from ???   Our kicking has been [censored]..  Petty was ok.. oh wait..  Milky was great....oh wait again..  Rooyen can kick...  oh oh...   Fritch got the yips... hasnt been too crash hot back from injury..   no one can hit a barn.
My advice to self ....get on the beers !! ;) Go Dees ( just not out the door....again ) lol

I agree BBO, I feel pretty good about the game today. Reckon we'll be fired up in the 1st quarter and likely have 3-4 goals on them early.

Yep, not up everyone's alley 😏

I was so nervous and excited last week.

I feel nothing this week. Footy has been less than enjoyable since last Thursday if I'm being honest.

Hope we put on a good display tonight and get the win.

I want to see Kozzy and Salem step it up tonight, there both integral parts to the side.

It's Game Day and the Demons take on the Blues in a sudden death final at the MCG. A win for the Dees will see them face the Lions at their fortress at the Gabba in Brisbane and a loss will see them bundled out of the finals in straight sets for the second season in a row.

Carn Dees.

Do it for Gus. Do it for Petty and the Milkman. Do it for yourselves and us...

Just do it

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.
