Lost at selection, lost in game, lost when it mattered.

Totally agree, lost it at selection….Grundy should have played, also Jordon. Laurie and Chandler to be dropped

JVR will be suspended, Hibberd, Oliver, TMac better for the runBrayshaw out for at least a week. Many to select though

Maynard better get 3 weeks.

It was bad enough losing Melksham  but we probably  would have won with Gus not going down.

Yep, I would've sent Angus to the wing. Langdon was being murdered by Sidebottom, zero physicality from Langdon.

Double the inside 50s Collingwood didn’t win that game we lost it, I hope that really burns in the players guts, if we can somehow make it to the grand final we will smoke them that I have no doubt, if we don’t Brisbane will and wouldn’t surprise me if pies lose a prelim the most overrated team that the media will pump up like there is no tomorrow, absolutely ropeable with that loss

How can it burn in the guts?

We were apparently out to avenge a straight set finals exit last year and we came out like that? If that didn’t bring us fire in the belly, nothing won’t. We’re a decent chance for another straight sets exit.

Laurie has to go.

Moniz-Wakefield or Spargo bring him in

Chandler get rid of.

Bring Grundy in Fugg em play him Fwd.

Tmac love you didn't do enough have to nail your shots .

Kozzie so much time panicked when you didn't need to.

Langdon, Smithy why play on why?

Shots touched on the line.

This really hurts.

Your comments about wishing players do their ACL next week was what I was referring to

I would do it again. Maynard is a serial thug. He lines up players. Same with Cox. Bog ordinary footballers who deserve some of their own medicine back.

Defending Maynard still.

Get real. He ko ed poor Gus.

If he gets off anyone can go the smother and do the same.

He smothered and then put a shoulder into Gus' head.

Can't wait for the AFL to rule it as him 'protecting himself'.

Shree. Smith and McDonald should never get another game. But there again who do we replace them with. ?

They didn't dominate at all until the end.

They hung on and scrambled to keep in the game at best

We're you there ?

Can't blame the defence --- only 60 points conceded.

Midfield --- dominant in final quarter after usual sluggish start.

Forwards --- appalling conversion rate cost us the game. Even the normally reliable Fritsch put a straight-forward shot at goal out on the full.

If (or when) JVR is suspended, a return for Grundy is the only option next week, unless we gamble on a hobbling BBB.

Jordon probably to replace Brayshaw. A definite downgrade.

I hope we play Sydney rather than Carlton.

Bitter pill to swallow.

Shoulda woulda coulda.

Still think we can make a prelim, and then who knows what happens. Certainly feel like we can/could beat them if we were to play them again

I though Smith was our only forwards who constantly put in. He definitely plays next week. TMac was [censored], so agree there. His one wood has been his kicking for goal - and when that goes, you know he’s shot.

Why is the ABC interviewing that little Twerp Ginnivan after the game. WTF

Had 2 touched and 5 ducks. What a player 🤮

Just now, David-Demon said:

That's a bit tough to say that when we do not know what has happened to Brayshaw yet don't you think ?

It's a guess DD, it might be [censored]. All I know is that he was out cold and he's had longish periods out of the game with concussion related injury.

- We went with the 2 tall backline which hasn't worked this year.

We kept them to 60 points, a beatable score.

Not on the backline, we needed to get more scores from all those I50's.

He had a shocker Langers.

Lost brought to you by Goodwin, unfortunately.

Give me a f..kin spell you Goodwin haters.  They lost it with to many missed opportunities.  The coach can’t kick it for them FFS

3 shots on goal out on the full in the last.  We lost due to player stupidity.

Not only in the last. Had a few in the first qtr as well

A season long problem.  Our forward line. Goodwin has to wear this it's the same issue every week. Frankly we play catchup every week.

Yep, there was a potential goal for Kozzy in the 2nd. Fritsch didn't Shepard the defender, touched.

A goal to.put us back to 10 pts and with momentum change in the 2nd.

Straight sets to Pies and blues is utter nightmare fuel. Roo presumably will be rubbed out, so we'll be threadbare forward.

Damn I wish we showed better composure there with a bunch of our shots on goal.

Van Rooyen did nothing tonight, so will be no loss. Smith forward, Tomlinson or Turner back. TMac should get another run

What happened with Roo?

fortunately we're just not making the most of our opportunities with the list we have.

I don't think our list is as hot as we think it is dazzledavey36.

Why does Trac only get going in the 2nd half?.

What's happened to Salo?. Langers and Hunter not far behind.

Lever egging everyone on but didn't dominate himself.

Chandler  and Laurie not very good.

Tmac...I've said my peace.

Jvr still learning.

Credit to the fightback but we've all seen this movie before with these slow starts and misses opportunities.

Pleased with the fightback.

Bad kicking loses games every time

Tmac wasn't a good selection

But we can still do this

Pies looked bog ordinary when the heat is applied Cox and Mayonnaise are sniping dogs

Who's next?

TMac was no surprise but really they had to pick him .

I would have gone with Grundy but then that's not going to  happen is it

My point is that no one has confirmed it was a concussion yet.

Two talls in the backline. We don’t win with two talls.

  • POSTGAME: Sydney

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.

  • CASEY: Northern Bullants

The Casey Demons travelled to a windy Cramer Street, Preston yesterday and blew the Northern Bullants off the ground for three quarters before shutting up shop in the final term, coasting to a much-needed 71-point victory after leading by almost 15 goals at one stage. It was a pleasing performance that revived the Demons’ prospects for the 2025 season but, at the same time, very little can be taken from the game because of the weak opposition. These days, the Bullants are little more than road kill. The once proud club, situated behind the Preston Market in a now culturally diverse area, is currently facing significant financial and on-field challenges, having failed to secure a win to date in 2025.

  • GAMEDAY: Sydney

It’s Game Day, and the Demons have a golden opportunity to build on last week’s stirring win by toppling Sydney at the MCG. A victory today would keep them firmly in the hunt for a finals spot and help them stay in touch with the pack chasing a place in the Top 8. Can the Dees make it two in a row and bring down the Swans?
