5. Hore - full of class and versatility

4. Mackin - exceptionally wing game, 16 kicks and a heap of penetration to them

3. Bannan - 17 touches, 3 snags, worked up and down the field

2. Hanks - just makes it look effortless at times

1. Purcell - quiet first half but got rolling late

Apologies to Paxy, Tay Harris and Zanker, with goal kicking the difference for those last 2 missing out

Kudos to you all in maintaining a view of the total in detail!

For me it was an un-vote-able mix of moments and the powerful big picture.

6- Hore. What a player !! Love Kate. Forward or Midfield.  Our captain led the way

5- Bannan.  So exciting !! Love the pace and goal celebration

4- Heath.  Bottle her energy and smarts.  Small but mighty player. Hungry for goals.

3- Harris.  Love our TAYLA.  Great marks.  Great kick.
2- Hanks. Just loves getting the footy.  Her pressure and smart ball use again on show.
1- Paxy.  Yes the new Paxy had so much poise and smarts around the ground.

Apologies to Zanker and Macklin

Special mention. Georgia Campbell GC. Happy birthday.  Good goal. She has a big future.  Sign her up now for 5 year deal imv.

  • CASEY: Gold Coast

For a brief period of time in the early afternoon of yesterday, the Casey Demons occupied top place on the Smithy’s VFL table. This was only made possible by virtue of the fact that the team was the only one in this crazy competition to have played twice and it’s 1½ wins gave it an unassailable lead on the other 20 teams, some of who had yet to play a game.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

In my all-time nightmare game, the team is so ill-disciplined that it concedes its first two goals with the courtesy of not one, but two, fifty metre penalties while opening its own scoring with four behinds in a row and losing a talented youngster with good decision-making skills and a lethal left foot kick, subbed off in the first quarter with what looks like a bad knee injury.

  • PREGAME: Geelong

After a one-year reprieve, the Demons return down the freeway to Kardinia Park — the site of both one of our greatest triumphs and one of our darkest days — as they face the Cats under Friday night lights. This one could get ugly. Who comes in, and who comes out?
