What is interesting (read disappointing) is that when you look at the seating map that the AFL members reserve has actually expanded towards the Punt Rd goals. What I mean by this is where my reserved seat was for the home and away season (bay 15) is now allocated to the AFL.

Disappointing for two reasons. More seats allocated to AFL members (presuming dominated by ferals) and less seats left for the general public to access.

Everyone is equal, but the some that are less equal than others gradually seem over a period of time to become even less equal.  Little by little.

Getting tickets has been more stressful than watching the match will be!

If we serve up the poor efforts from the straight sets finals losses last year I'll spew. That was so deflating, and this time round we'll have the filth fans to deal with.

I think junior members by default are not allocated to Priority/Premium seats so you'll have to both sit together in the regular Melbourne members seats areas

well i figured it out in the end. rookie error by me. Trying to buy two tickets - separated barcodes by hitting 'enter' and not spacing them out. re-read email, it was there but in the heat of the moment, did see the fine print.

Q50 BB. would have been E or F if i had worked it out earlier.

Agree LT took ages to get in cat1 already gone, applied for cat2, got timed out, got straight back in got 6  x Cat 2 tickets together on L1, so very stressed but very very happy in the end.!!!

Presumably we will dominate the MCC 70/30. Assume equal allocation of club members to both sides and if they take the 80/20 of AFL reserve, then it should be a pretty balanced turnout.

Now that’s over….

Had a mini heart attack, after going to purchase my tickets it took me to the select seats screen again, I re entered my barcodes 3 times but it wouldn’t accept them, then I thought it won’t because they’ve already been used. So then I hit the arrow to go back which was a risk but after going back 2 times there were my tickets, level 2, section N2 behind the goals. Pretty much where I sit during the H&A season.
Feeling blessed right now.

My son is trying to get seats for my family and had good ones, ground level behind the goals at the Punt Road end but he put the credit card in incorrectly and it rejected it and when he tried his own credit card it said those tickets have gone.

That's one of the biggest problems with having an apostrophe in your last name, it refuses to recognize it.

I’m pumped now. I hope the Melbourne fans rock up with full voice like we did in 2018 because that was crazy. I was at the Sydney game and I just felt as though the fans were a bit timid. Different feel to it this year.

We have to be because I guarantee the moment our boys run out the feral fans will be booing & hopefully we don't have to hear there colllingwooood chant.

We need to be loud because we already know the ferals will be

seriously what a [censored] system. how can i sit next to my son ?

Yeah it's infuriating. It took me 9 minutes to figure out that you need to put two "passwords" (BAR CODES ARE NOT PASSWORDS!!!) in, with a return between them. I lost my first ten minute window because of this.

That map is for the Grand Final only. For weeks 1-3 of finals it follows the standard seating plans: https://d35kvm5iuwjt9t.cloudfront.net/pdf/AFL/MCG-01279-Ticketing_Map-2023_Week_1-3_Finals.pdf

But I agree, disappointing the AFL Reserve is slowly expanding into the Public Reserve

Great to see so many Demonlanders secure their seats. Managed to grab tix for the family without too much Ticketek drama. This wait is going to be excruciating…almost glad it’s the Thursday game now.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
