Thursday is less time for Moore and Daicos to get up too. That's also a win.

They ruled Daicos out already. He’s two weeks off from even running. Will be lucky to play the prelim.

Salem has been non-existent for the last few months unfortunately. What's up with him?

He'll step up, he's a gun!

I'm away so haven't had the chance to see the Sydney game.

The Melksham news is devastating on all fronts. Having cemented his spot and done so well this year, to miss out on the finals campaign will be heartbreaking for him. Meanwhile it throws a massive spanner in our forward line thoughts. Having him and Petty go down in the final month is just no good.

I suspect it will be TMac who gets that spot. Fingers crossed whatever form he got today, and perhaps next week for Casey again, can translate into AFL level, because if we get the slow, early-2023 TMac, that won't work.

I don't need to have seen the game today to know that we won't be dropping Turner for anyone except Tomlinson. We are not abandoning that plan now.

Because it’s a final we absolutely should win against a side who can kick goals quickly if we nap. It’s also Collingwood and losing to them would ruin my day, possibly my weekend.

Don't worry mate, just enjoy the fact that we get to play an age old rival with packed G!

If we lose, well [censored]; I'd rather be involved classic contests against the teams we most want to beat!

If lose, we'll also get a chance to smash em again!!

I'm sure it's already been said but this QF is possibly our make-or-break at the flag.

Win it, we get a home prelim against Brisbane/Port/St Kilda/GWS.

Lose it, we get Carlton/Sydney (likely Carlton) in a semi before having to travel to Brisbane/Port.

The stakes are huge.

I don't see any other matchup shaping the finals series more than this one.

Maybe if Port get over Bris that is bigger but still not sold. I think all eyes will be on the G.

Thought it was Montagna that gave us the pump up. King just nodded his head.

King had us number one seed last week, but when asked to give his GF and Premiership tip, said Collingwood would beat Lions in the GF. The man changes his mind on everything for no good reason every week. Only a few weeks ago, he said Collingwood couldn’t win the flag. They’ve not beaten anyone of note since, but all of a sudden, he thinks they’ll win the flag again.

The ‘expected scores’ only had Collingwood beating Essendon by 30-something points. Essendon were terribly inaccurate and Collingwood vice-versa. Essendon probably also have the worst form out of any side atm. Not sure you can flip an opinion or change a view based on Collingwood’s win. Essendon literally shirked at contests, it was unbelievable.

    CONSISTENCY by The Oracle

"I think we have got a team that can win a premiership, and if we get in this year, I don't think there is a team that is going to want to play us. This year is not a write-off, I don't concede that. Not at all." — Collingwood President Jeff Browne. I love this sort of optimism from the Magpie President after his club’s eleven goal defeat at the hands of the fast rising Hawks. It’s consistent with the fighting spirit of the club that won last year’s flag.  I only wish I could say the s

    FEARS by Whispering Jack

Melbourne’s worst fears about the absence of Max Gawn were realised when it received a shellacking from Fremantle’s ruckmen Sean Darcy and Luke Jackson who dominated the hit out tally in their game at Optus Stadium on Sunday by a massive 47 to 19. As a result, the 50-point deficit at the end of the game proved to be a loss that was long foreseen that was two years in the making and demonstrated a complete lack of hindsight and planning from the club. To add insult to injury, Jackson was a D

    RAIN CHECK by Whispering Jack

The Frankston Dolphins broke a run of six straight losses against their neighbours, the Casey Demons and kept their hopes for a long-awaited return to the VFL finals alive with a 27 point victory over at Kinetic Stadium. Casey was welcomed to the Peninsula by grey skies, heavy rain and angry seas with threatening white-capped waves whipped up by gale force winds. After a slow start in the opening term when they failed to take advantage of the breeze, it appeared that the Demons had decided
