Every forecast Iโ€™ve looked at says rain will be in the morning.ย
Also itโ€™s Melbourne. Chances of this forecast being correct 6 days out is 0%.ย

You may be able to trust the forecast on Thursday morning, and that's still a 50-50 proposition.

The app I use has five different forecast models that all show itโ€™s going to rain at some stage during the day / early evening.

The one that tends to be more accurate indicates right now that there will be rain from 2pm to 6pmโ€ฆ.. at this stage.ย

I find that I have been stressing about the weather forecasts more than anything else at the moment, and there are still five sleeps to go!

Finals are all about execution on the day. I am grateful for the opportunity the club is giving me to make myself sick with anxiety and trepidation.

But I can live with being beaten by a team that can execute better on the day - but after last year - we are due to be on the winning side of that โ€˜execution battleโ€™โ€ฆ

We look fit, our best players are at least fit with only two adjusting to long breaks out injured, and we are in form with what we are good at - contest and defence.

Can somebody rip the Yank's goggles off?

Put their knees into him like he did to Max QB2022? I despise him, he's a bog ordinary bully.

So last night the girls beat collingwood, today Williamstown beat them in the VFL so hopefully we get the hatrick and beat them thursday night.ย

Cox like playing against us, and doesn't have the worst record. I could see him troubling us in the air. Pre Steven May, he certainly did. I hope they don't play him. I think they will though.

This is a major concern. Dees have pretty much lost every game this season when raining. Our back line pillars go to mush. Iโ€™m hoping that the meteorologists are off considering itโ€™s still another few days awayย

An arrogant American? Surely not

Aside from Nick Daicos probably missing, Pies are at full strength.

My left leg has been playing up so all signs point to a dry spell.

Well now it says rain up to 4mm and to finish by 4pm ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

I wouldnโ€™t think about the weather until hours before the game as itโ€™ll change 12 times until then

I wasn't really devastated missing out last year like I should have been. I think I was still high after the flag.

Agreed. Too far out for an accurate determination.

What day does the team get announced ?

Johnson hurt himself yesterday in the VFL. He is a depth player for them. Wasnโ€™t playing very well, I thought.

Didnt he damage us one particular game? I might be wrong but the name rings a bell.

I would think they'd name teams for our game on Wednesday and the other teams on Thursday.

Every time I look, the weather forecast for Thursday gets crappier and crappier. ย Not good.

This post may be written in jest, but I really don't like it. Cox wears his glasses to stop him from going blind from another eye injury. It's OK not to like him, but let's not wish him a serious, life-changing injury.

I wouldnโ€™t have thought anyone who played yesterday would be in consideration for Thursday, just an opinion

Spargo is firming as a possible selection in place of TMac in my opinion. (assuming wet/greasy conditions) Looking windy as well. Not great for our high forward bombs

Pity that Schache hasn't come on.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecastโ€”20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze โ€” expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kateโ€™s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwoodโ€™s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isnโ€™t a standard conceptโ€”itโ€™s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasnโ€™t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's ย six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his teamโ€™s unfulfilled potential rang true โ€ฆ well, almost.ย
