What bloody advantage. Call it back you dill.

100% - set shot on offer.....utter bs

Once again a late call by the ump means we play on and take the “advantage” which turns out to be the opposite of to advantage. FFS I hate that rule

First qtr thoughts.
Trac looks off.

Fritta doesn’t look like he has missed.
we have been sloppy but got better as the qtr went on.

Going by 1st qtr no idea still why Turner replaced Thommo.

Melksham and Kozzie look lively.

I want to see how many minutes Trac has spent on ball this quarter. My guess is less than 5

Anyone notice we are starting to run in waves again?

They look in great nick.

Sparrow, tracc and riv all look in the best shape I've seen them.

This has the stench of the AFL doing everything they can to get a final played in Sydney.

Yep, there's already a load of smoke beaming up from AFL House.

Petracca continuing on his poor form from last week.

He's checked out since Oliver is back, very worrying

Home or away they’re completely incapable of understanding either HTB or prior opportunity

Or any other basic AFL rules

Why not call it back when it’s obvious there was no advantage. Should be in the rule book

Boweys form not great heading into finals

Surely Hibberd comes in for Bowey & Hunter’s possessions are ineffective & his tackles are like powder puffs

It's a joke. Such an infuriating rule. E

Often either turns out not to he an advantage, or in the event every just stops, an unfair disadvantage to the team the free has been paid against.

I wonder when a side will man up after a point against sides, shut it down instead of letting it out.  If you look down the ground after a swans point every player is up around the midfield area, pull players back have less congestion and allow players to run onto it or over the back.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
