Well Essendon can't make finals so not fussed. But I see weiderman is back.

I notice tipungwuti is bring given a farewell game. Be interesting to see how much time he'll play.

Why would Prestia be managed? Just play the final game.

I will laugh if Essendon win tonight.

It feels like this season has one more little twist to it.

Why try in the last round when you can improve your draft hand by 2 places.

The other big attraction for the cats will be dropping into the bottom 6 to get the easier draw. Play harder teams (like us) at the Cattery and easier teams on the road and the Geriatric Hobby Farmers might be on again…

We did see on 360 the Monday before. Matthew Nicks "we have to trust the Goal Umpires, I just hope it doesn't happen to us"

What's that got to do with Demonlands reaction????

Hmmmm I'd like to see the reaction on here if it was us instead of the Crows.

I dont care. I cant stand the crows. They've won heaps of home games under controversial circumstances.

Melbourne didnt complain about the lying cheat Carlton players. Its all about poor little Adelaide.

Stuff em, who cares?

Don’t laugh. If Pies lose we are odds on to play Brisbane at the Gabba in week one of finals. No. Thank. You.

I will still laugh. Doesn't really bother me where we play.

What if the AFL set draft positions (for bottom 8 teams only) in RD 22,  unless you go on to make finals? That way teams that can still make finals in R22, will be too far out to purposefully try and lose as it only sabotages their finals chances? Also means R23 & R24 have no impact on draft selections unless you drop out of the top 8. And if you drop out of the 8 with one round left, that means you can still get into finals. As you’ll only be percentage or a game out.

Won’t cover everything but should at least mean only the 15th/16th/17th/18th teams will try and lose to secure draft positions in RD22 (which is what’s happening with field tactics anyways).

What about a draft lottery similar to the NBA? Bottom 5 clubs get different tiers of chances to get the first pick and so forth.

Oh yeah, that probably makes much  more sense than my suggestion!

cos he wants to be traded to gc17 or the bears

tigs not risking him knackering his calf in a meaningless game before they evaluate trade options

i'm amazed north are playing mckay

I don't think we have celebrated the Cats' missing finals enough! "We are the Danger" - said their coach, only a few weeks ago. Just glorious I tell ya' @Jaded No More

How [censored] would you be if you supported GWS?

If the AFL had any integrity it wouldn't allow off season surgeries before the end of season.  The Cats would normally always beat the Dogs at home but now the dogs look odds on

So the Giants go from finals certainties to needing to beat the form team of the comp just because the Cats won't play out the last game like professionals and pick their strongest team

imagine if the shoe was on the other foot. Scott would be losing it

Caller on SEN reckons the Pies will drop tonight's game to avoid us in Week 1 of finals.

If Essendon win tonight I'll buy an Essendon jumper and then return it.

Gotta love the media  "the bombers have been hit with several injuries to key players"

umm no they haven't. they are literally saying FU to the comp like the Cats are, and ruining any chance of a contest tonight

they are hopeful he can play at least one good game this year to raise his trade value

I want the top 4 to remain as is, really want the Pies as our week 1 victims!

Also want Freo to lose, Suns to win, rest of round I don’t care about

Why Suns, if Roos win we could possibly do a deal with WC for 1?

It won’t happen of course.

Caller on SEN lol

Pies are in shocking form, they need a win. Besides there are no guarantees Brisbane beat Saints. We can still finish 3rd.

I care in a roundabout way. With all the blues inclusions I'm hoping Marchbank is an emergency or sub.

Touched it my a....e.

I think the saints win last week was more about showing how poor the cats are now.

Lions are a cut above saints and will show this  shortly.

If not then huge kudos to Ross

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.
