He was declared persona non grata  , however, I believe a miracoulous and phoenix like resurrection maybe underway!

Again? Or is this rev 2 of the Craig Hutchison spat?

It's raining in the north and west

And the East... but apparently the G remains a Shangri-La vs the dreaded Melbourne eddy and Grundy is safe to play!

Excellent bus ride in. Now onto the Mountain View for the Matildas.

Dr. Who's fault.

All charges dropped surely!

Australia looks very lethargic. France's ball handling far better in the early game so far. They'll will win this easily I'm afraid...

Grey, overcast and wet here in NW Europe. This weather should hit Melbourne around October.

32○ here in koh samui.

Not 7.30 yet my friend

32 or so here in Manila where I'm reinforcing a classic Demon stereotype in the Cathay Business lounge.

Haven't heard from @picket fence of late.

Is there any truth to the rumour that he's been in a state of euphoric intoxication since Clarrie's return was announced ?

Forget the ''Euphoric Intoxication"Uncle, I have been hooked up to a Scotch and coke machine intraveniously in one arm, and Milkthistle, Liver cleanser in the other!!😁

What time does this game start?

Has it been changed again?

Risky travel so stay alert. I guess the disgusting aromas will keep you intuitive - but simultaneously, green around the gills. When the train doors opens at the station, you'll feel like your in heaven. Just like the last 60 seconds of the 4th quarter, to come.

I have placed lurve above footy.  Very difficult choice as you would appreciate.

I shall be with my darling Blues-supporting partner in a cinema watching a movie that starts at 7:30pm.  Phones on silent, with no peeking.

Last time we went to the Dees-Blues game at the G it nearly ended in blows (not the good sort!)

I’m dreading the possibility of a Melbourne vs Pies GF. My poor husband told friends that he would secretly be barracking for the Dees if this happens - just to keep the peace ✌️

Jeez…lions very lucky not to be paid insufficient intent or whatever it is for walking it through the behinds...

Feels like the showers has stopped. At least for the moment.

Anyone seen Oliver in the warmup? Can’t sight him.

A couple of our players watching the game instead of warming up.

All good…sighted .

Despite a spirited third quarter surge, the Demons have slumped to their worst start to a season since 2012, remaining winless and second last on the ladder after a 39-point defeat to Essendon at Adelaide Oval in Gather Round.

It’s Game Day, and the Demons are staring down the barrel of an 0-5 start for the first time since 2012 as they take on Essendon at Adelaide Oval for Gather Round. In that forgettable season, Melbourne finally broke their drought by toppling the Bombers. Can lightning strike twice? Will the Dees turn their nightmare start around and breathe life back into 2025?

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

As the focus of the AFL moves exclusively to South Australia for Gather Round, the question is raised as to what are we going to get from the  Melbourne Football Club this weekend? Will it be a repeat of the slop fest of the last three weeks that have seen the team score a measly 174 points and concede 310 or will a return to the City of Churches and the scene where they performed at their best in 2024 act as a wakeup call and bring them out of their early season reverie?  Or will the sleepy Dees treat their fans to a reenactment of their lazy effort from the first Gather Round of two years ago when they allowed the Bombers to trample all over them on a soggy and wet Adelaide Oval? The two examples from above tell us how fickle form can be in football. Last year, a committed group of players turned up in Adelaide with a businesslike mindset. They had a plan, went in confidently and hard for the football and kicked winning scores against both home teams in a difficult environment for visitors. And they repeated that sort of effort later in the season when they played Essendon at the MCG.
