A lot of Carlton supporters coming out of the woodwork at my workplace. Their uprising needs to be put down. Brutally if possible.

If we beat them they'll be back to struggling to hang on to make the 8.

Do it Demons, for all the AFL.

It's going to be a finals type of game. I think we have enough talent and drive to put their streak to an end. But it's a nervous wait for me. Not only will it help cement second spot but will help quell all the media noise that the blues are a real chance for the flag. It must be done.

You know the answer to this EO.

Right now it's a big test and we hope we are good enough to beat them.

If we do win then Carlton weren't good enough anyway and we need to be 'a lot better'

I love it, nothing like a good solid frenzy! Ok so I was a bit mean to Jefferson but he’s a big boy and I’m sure he can handle it.

If we beat Carlton it might shut that [censored] King up for 5mins until he needs to tie his wagon to the next team that suits his stats. He is fond of a big statement Kingy, this weeks was the Carlton midfield are "brutal", no one can stand in their way. You have to ask; can anyone believe a man that plucks his eyebrows?

Haha ...

Blues supporters are everywhere, maybe even on Demonland 👤🧐

I don't think think the Carlton team that is fielded on Saturday night is necessarily a 'reference point' as it will be missing Walsh, Cerra, McKay  McGovern and Silvagni.

The Blues managed to get over the Saints with a depleted side last week and that was a spirited win, but the Dees are definitely a much tougher challenge for Carlton. Should be a great match, am looking forward to watching it at the 'G on Saturday night ...

You can only beat the team that's in front of you and we only managed to get over North last week and Richmond the week before who got torched by the Bulldogs last week.

I think winning consistently is a better measure and Carlton are there on that at the moment.

It all hinges on Curnow. If a job can be done on him, I'd back our medium defenders over their medium/small forwards.

Not convinced we will score a lot with Grundy in place of Petty as they're a very good defensive team

Don't buy into the hype.  The Blues haven't made finals for over a decade

With a full team they are a 6-8 placing team. And they are far from full strength

If we trample them this coming Saturday night those footsteps will continue to get louder and the panic will set in all over again at Princess Park.

I’ll be more interested in how we play. Sure a win is great but if Grundy does nothing and somehow Melksham kicks a bag then I’m not sure I’ll take a whole lot of confidence from it.

We are due for a statement game. We have had patches of great footy in the past month, but nothing from start to finish that was without compromise.. .a game that will send a shiver down the spines of everyone else in the comp.

it has to be a convincing win in both the way we play and the scoreboard. the opponent is irrelevant.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
