Demonland 74,431 Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 The Demons have consolidated their position in the Top 4 creating a 2 game and percentage buffer with 5th place by beating the Adelaide Crows by 4 points at the MCG. 6 5 1 4 Quote

SFebes 4,884 Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 Got to say, it was a pretty disappointing performance. Need to be a lot better than that. Will take the win and forget about it. Very strange game. 15 Quote

Heart Beats True 1,337 Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 Our backline is a serious concern at the moment. Two big scores kicked against us in the past two weeks. 3 Quote
Nasher 33,686 Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 Trying to look through the stress a bit, I actually thought that was a high standard game. Would have been really good to watch as a neutral. Most heart warming moment for me was Woey Jr kicking it down ANB’s throat in the third. 23 1 1 Quote
leave it to deever 17,618 Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 Bittersweet. Thank goodness for Viney. Good to see Kozzie and Chandler back in the goals. Bad to see Lever and May play like that. 9 Quote

4_Kent_Watts 898 Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 I'll take being lucky again. And getting the cash for the line. Freo losing and not going to work tomorrow. Bloody lovely weekend. 4 Quote
layzie 34,528 Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 Really hard to explain how we gave up 28 scoring shots 3 1 Quote
Jaded No More 68,976 Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 Idiots will say we weren’t good. They’ll also say Pies are going to win the flag because twice they beat Adelaide by under a goal. Go Dees! 34 1 3 Quote
layzie 34,528 Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 Joel Smith stood up when it's counted, great job son. 37 1 Quote
Red But Mostly Blue 4,632 Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 Don’t love that we had to sweat that out, (and the 50s were sloppy) but the truth is the Crows were pretty good, we were inconsistent (sometimes good and definitely plucky), but they were desperate, with their season on the line and at the end of the game, we were on top. Good teams do that. We just need to make sure we play 4qtrs from here on in because there are no easy games. Go Dees!! 16 Quote
Hopeful Demon 1,541 Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 Well those last five minutes were like a walking heart attack but thank god we won in the end. The biggest positive of today's game was our small forwards. Pickett looked very threatening and it was great to see Chandler get his confidence back. 9 Quote
titan_uranus 25,255 Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 We’re effectively 3 games clear inside the top 4 with 5 games to come. With Oliver and Fritsch (and maybe Grundy) to come back. Adelaide suck on the road, so it was disappointing to see us give up a 5-goal lead twice and then a 4-goal lead twice in the last quarter, but their best is good so it’s not wholly surprising. Big tests to come against Richmond, a resurgent Carlton, and a Sydney who could be playing for finals in Round 24. 7 Quote
