Got to say, it was a pretty disappointing performance. Need to be a lot better than that. Will take the win and forget about it. Very strange game.

Our backline is a serious concern at the moment. Two big scores kicked against us in the past two weeks.

ย

Bittersweet.

Thank goodness for Viney.

Good to see Kozzie and Chandler back in the goals.

Bad to see Lever and May play like that.

ย

Canโ€™t wait for the podcast to dissect that game.ย

Top 4 locked in for 3 years in a row.ย

not a sentence i thought iโ€™d ever say

Joel Smith starting out of the Goal square next week thanks.ย

Too valuable to be wasted as a substitute.ย

I'll take being lucky again. And getting the cash for the line. Freo losing and not going to work tomorrow. Bloody lovely weekend.ย

Idiots will say we werenโ€™t good. Theyโ€™ll also say Pies are going to win the flag because twice they beat Adelaide by under a goal.ย

Go Dees!

Donโ€™t love that we had to sweat that out, (and the 50s were sloppy) but the truth is the Crows were pretty good, we were inconsistent (sometimes good and definitely plucky), but they were desperate, with their season on the line and at the end of the game, we were on top. Good teams do that. We just need to make sure we play 4qtrs from here on in because there are no easy games.ย

Go Dees!!

Well those last five minutes were like a walking heart attack but thank god we won in the end.

The biggest positive of today's game was our small forwards. Pickett looked very threatening and it was great to see Chandler get his confidence back.

Weโ€™re effectively 3 games clear inside the top 4 with 5 games to come.ย

With Oliver and Fritsch (and maybe Grundy) to come back.ย

Adelaide suck on the road, so it was disappointing to see us give up a 5-goal lead twice and then a 4-goal lead twice in the last quarter, but their best is good so itโ€™s not wholly surprising.ย

Big tests to come against Richmond, a resurgent Carlton, and a Sydney who could be playing for finals in Round 24.

  • REPORT: Carlton

The text messages started flooding in shortly after quarter time. One read: โ€œIs Melbourne even at the ground?โ€ Moments later, as Carltonโ€™s Elijah Hollands kicked the first goal of the second term, the Blues held a commanding 43-point lead. By then, the Demonsโ€™ only score was a behind kicked by Brody Mihocek nearly five minutes into the game. Ironically, Mihocek would also register the last minor score of the day after the game took a dramatic turnaround.ย
