I’m now one hundred percent convinced.

We have the worst game plan in the world and only the fact we have talented players is getting us through some of this.

Absolutely putrid decisions after putrid decisions. The [censored] was Viney thinking then.

At last

Who needs Fritter when we have Melk?

(I’m joking obviously, but I actually really like him in the side and the truth is we’re going to need him firing so this is good to see, he’s had a good game).

Overall ...

We've got at least 5-7 players who don't impact games or get enough possessions

And about 8-10 players who turn the ball over too easily (and that includes ANB & Brayshaw)

And any number who are down on their best

Pressure accounts for a number of errors but unforced errors?  And not getting enough of it?

So that's nearly the 2/3rds of the team with some sort of deficiency

At least we don't have the yips in front of goal this week

This team can play so much better

Tracc another horror HB in the middle to no one's advantage.

Hold on to the ball if you cant find a man!  Even a free for HTB is a better outcome.  So panicky around the contest.  No poise or composure

Jake Milkshake brings all the goals to the board

You can drop him, but he’s all class

Bring him back, he just kicks goals

Na na na-na na, they all want him

Na na na-na na, entrocote love him

Gawn and Grundy should be ashamed right now.

They have done it all year.

The 2 headed beast is about as scary as Big Bird!!!

  • REPORT: Collingwood

The media focus on the fiery interaction between Max Gawn and Steven May at the end of the game was unfortunate because it took away the gloss from Melbourne’s performance in winning almost everywhere but on the scoreboard in its Kings Birthday clash with Collingwood at the MCG. It was a real battle reminiscent of the good old days when the rivalry between the two clubs was at its height and a fitting contest to celebrate the 2025 Australian of the Year, Neale Daniher and his superb work to bring the campaign to raise funds for motor neurone disease awareness to the forefront. Notwithstanding the fact that the Magpies snatched a one point victory from his old club, Daniher would be proud of the fact that his Demons fought tooth and nail to win the keenly contested game in front of 77,761 fans.

  • PREGAME: Port Adelaide

The Demons are set to embark on a four-week road trip that takes them across the country, with two games in Adelaide and a clash on the Gold Coast, broken up by a mid-season bye. Next up is a meeting with the inconsistent Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval. Who comes in and who goes out?

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.
