Very un-Sydney like to let Port back into the game in the fourth. The last kick will hurt but they never should have been behind at all.

Meanwhile I’m looking forward to seeing if St Kilda can produce this football against a reasonable side. An opening month of Fremantle, the Dogs, Essendon and GC, all in Melbourne, and three straight Saturday night games, is not exactly taxing. IMO jury remains out, but beat Collingwood next week (or at least play them well) and that will change.

LOL. Just watching that last kick. Sydney player celebrating before it reached the goal line. What a pillock.

Really hope the Mccartin boys are ok.

Was watching the Syd v Port game, the boy looked out of it, could not walk and was being carried off by two trainers he won't play for a month IMO.

Yeah they just highlighted it on 7. Callum mills was the player that left the area allowing alir alir to run at it & knock it back in

Lions v Magpies

1. Lions very very hard to beat at home

2. Magpies lack of a ruckman is a weakness to exploit

3. Magpies goalkicking accuracy in 2022 was amazing. In round 3 & 4 it’s been woeful.
4. Nick Daicos seriously must be favourite for the Brownlow

5. Charlie Cameron loves it when the Lions are front runners

Daicos refuses to run the other way when opp have the ball and Squibed a contest BIG TIME last night. Not a Browlow medalist IMV

As a Norwood/Melbourne supporter my whole life, I simpathise with Swans supporters because that is a typical Port Adelaide win . Play [censored] football all night but somehow conjure a win from a pile of rubbish.

He shouldn't play again if he knows what's good for him.

He should never play again!!! If he does that’s sheer madness. If tonight’s event doesn’t spell the end of his career, what will it take?????

That knock was as innocuous as it gets on a footy field. I just can’t see how he, or his family, are ever comfortable with him playing a contact sport again.

It’s only a game. He’s achieved so much and should be so proud of himself, but you have to think long term.

It wouldn’t have affected any other player. They would’ve jumped up and carried on playing. Surely his mum will see that distressing footage of him being helped to the bench like an old man and talk sense into him. I know I would.

Correct on EVERY LEVEL... If he were my son I would be PLEADING with him not to play anymore. My own son gave it away after some horrendous Knee injuries .. AND Boy was I relieved.! But Concussions, particulary as many as he has had really should resonate with him. Paddy, I salute you for getting back on the Horse son, BUT Please think of your future. Take care P.F

St Kilda have looked more impressive than Carlton and yet Carlton are 3rd favourites to win the flag.

Aside from Sam Walsh, Carlton aren’t getting any better while the Saints have got some big guns to come back.

If St Kilda beat Collingwood next week, I’m declaring them a premiership chance. It’s not as if they’ve fallen over the line in their 4 games, they’ve completely blown their opponents away by the final siren.

Bulldogs are in the thick of the action and are likely to be a good side,  while Freo are talented and could still play finals. I’m not sure I agree that St Kilda  haven’t beat a reasonable side.

I'm backing GWS somewhat optimistically today.  They were so close last week against Carlton even with Toby Greene essentially out of the game.  If that umpire call didn't happen then maybe they'd be going 2-1 right now.

Totally agree PF. Was nothing in it at all, barely hit his head but it was the side of his head around the temple area, not good signs for him at all.
