Ideally Salo comes back in and allows Gus to play in the middle.

Maybe, but at whose expense?

Hibbo will need to be managed throughout the year, and Riv, Bowey and McVee are all in great form, selectors will have a lot of trouble squeezing in all that talent into the backline. I also think we're doing a much better job at bringing our players back from injury so I only expect Salem to really need one VFL game to have him ready for the firsts.

That sounds like a half solution to me ie last year rush back on Casey games  were Riv Salo Etc we know the results and this year it's mostly 2 games to ensure the player is absolutely cherry ripe.

Yes Mr F you are right about our med and performance teams improved handling so why make an exception for Salo who I regard as talented a player on our list ( refer GF first half especially). I really don't want to see Salo circa 2022 but the 2021 version as a match winner and 2 games in suits that new prescription which is succeeding well. But again we trust our Coaches and FD and Medicos this season of course.

Apparently he had tightness and they’re doing it as a precaution. Played out the last quarter ok, so hopefully it’s nothing.

Clayton Oliver had scans this afternoon on his left hamstring after grabbing at it in the third term yesterday, before playing on, as per

. Results unknown at this stage, but pleasing he played out the game at least. #SuperCoach

2005 vibes about this season.

Might explain why he's been a bit ploddy around stoppages of late.

Needs a rest anyways and shouldve got one in the game against Norf imv.

Looks a tad cooked.

Is it just my MFCSS. Or can I see

4-6 weeks.                     Fmd

we played S..thouse and now this

As someone that's had hamstring issues in the past from playing, the fact that he ran out the last quarter says to me that he may have had some tightness or even maybe cramp.

Even if it was a strain, there is no way he could move in the wet the way that he did that last quarter.

Trying to push through a strain will only result in a pretty bad tear which is where you're looking at 6-10 weeks.

Fingers crossed it's just tightness. 8 day break should hopefully be okay. Could still miss just the 1 week at worse.

We had already subbed Bowey off, but I would lose my [censored] mind if we risked him in that last quarter and he’s injured that hamstring badly. Seems unlikely.

Just saw tv vision of him grabbing his hammy. Not what I call a good look. What is also interesting is that I don’t recall any mention made by commentators at the time. Guessing it was a very tense / exciting moment in play at the time.

I mean he still had 5 disposal in the last quarter. So he's had a decent crack at least

But yes, surely he either didn't tell coaching staff or If he did then I seriously would hope they didn't advise him to at least try and push through.
