Horrific! I couldn’t finish reading the article.

That poor woman, forced to abort her child and psychologically abused by the club.

this is almost criminal

People need to calm down they are allegations, until proven people need to be careful with their wording.

This will be huge.

If true, I would be tearing up Clarkson’s contract at North.
Again, if true, we will see if the AFL has the balls to do what needs to be done.

Wonder if North Melbourne knew this was happening?

This does not paint a great picture for the Hawks as a club and Clarkson as a person, not exactly what you want your marquee signing being associated with

No but you know what, they won't do anything, they'll stand by him because he can coach.

Hopefully Adem Yze isn't implicated in this?

How would Yze have a say in anything Hawthorn did he was a development coach.

What ever happened to the Collingwood report.  Do a report then lift the carpet and sweep the issue under it.  Same will happen here, a few statements for Hawthorn, the AFL and some of the people involved then GF, Trade week and all is forgotten.

Roos and lions might be looking for new coaches soon.

At the very least they will have to stand down until these allegations are followed up.

However, reading the review suggests that these allegations might have been strongly substantiated or they would not have appeared in the review.

Not so sure. Eddie left soon after so the media lost its real target.

Here the he allegations are so much worse involving families and children and the two coaches can expect to be hounded non stop at every interview. If no, then its the media that should be sacked.

I won't cut and paste but Luke Hodge said he had never heard allegations like this while he was at the club "to the extent of the terrible stuff in there [the article]".

Interesting that he said " to the extent of the terrible stuff in there" Not never happened.

There is this notion in AFL that the end justifies the means. Just look at the Essendon supplement saga, and the fact Essendon are seriously considering bringing Hird back.

Clarkson will continue to be revered and untouchable because he won 4 flags. That is all that matters in AFL. It doesn't matter how many lives were ruined in the process.

Two coaches and a player development manager are the key figures in this story so it's not the silliest suggestion to say he might be questioned about what he knew about it.

This has to go far beyond footy and clubland.

This is human rights stuff, as people have suggested. It’s not dissimilar to the MeToo movement. People in power influencing decision making and tearing families apart for gain

It really amazes me how literal some clubs take that saying. Win at all costs, it is seriously just a game for christ's sake.

If this is true (which on the face of it seems likely sadly) Hawthorn sound more like a cult than a footy club.

The AFL must impose very heavy sanctions on those involved. Don't forget this came out of an external review commissioned by Hawthorn, the purpose of which was to ascertain the experiences of indigenous players, current and former, of the club. Three examples of that report have formed the basis of the ABC report. Rioli left the club on bad terms. Does anyone really think this is fabricated? One of the coaches named in the report has history. Remember the punched walls? The behaviour at junior football games?

I'm struggling to process this news

If the allegations are true, and reading the ABC article it's hard not assume they are, this is beyond comprehension.

Horrors like this sound like something that has come to light from the 1950s or 60s, and that collectively we all say that's horrific, thank god things have changed. But it is alleged to have happened in the last 15 years. I'm shocked.

Again, if true, this is on another level all together to the bombers drug scandal. Both scenarios involve a complete breach of trust, but this is something else entirely.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
