So sad and farewell 2022

6-Trac - battled through pain. Clearly our best. On one leg and he’s still a star.

5-Clarry - scragged and gouged all night. Battled and tackled (12 tackles) and showed he’s a warrior

4-Petty - battled all night and saved 3 certain goals. Great effort. Great year.

3-Harmes 👍🏻- better. Clean disposal. One grab footy.

2-Langdon 👍🏻- ran and ran and ran and kicked and was again in the best

1- ANB. Ok. Just gets a vote due to his 1st half. But generally disappeared after 1/2 time. Runs into trouble. At least got two good goals.

Kozzzy ok - good 1st half but his miss in the 4th (in the goalsquare… No lions ) was unforgivable

Hibbo Ok - battled and generally beat Cameron

May - ok. Beaten but battling on. Hipwood showed his athletic ability and perhaps batter without competing with Daniher.

Brayshaw ok - tagged Neale(why?) but generally looked tired. Good goal in 4th.

Hunt - ok. Nothing terrible but nothing enlightening. Did his job.

Fritsch - ok had a great year but had two costly turnovers. Two goals but was a little off tonight.

💩Salem -just looked slow. Was he even fit. Disposal not sharp at all. Kicks to the clouds not direct. Disappointed.

🤯Viney - ouch - had to say, heart of a lion and tackles all night but too often took wrong decision. Missed goal chance in 3rd quarter was costly.

🤯Gawn - start of ‘22, mentioned at best in the comp. But he looked tired. Hitouts to no one. Better with a big punch. Tapped it mostly to Neale and Zorko in 2nd half.

🤯Lever - good discipline in defence so then why???? A goal down and gives up an obvious 50. Why?? Arrogance ??

The spuds

-1🥶Melksham- one good play then disappears. Wtf. Very disappointing.

-2🥔Ben Brown - unable to mark and lead. Is he fit or strong enough. Dropped countless marks.

-3🥔Jackson - omg. Fumbles all the time. So many dropped marks. Handballing to other players under pressure. Shines in 2-3 passages then nothing. Ummm. So disappointing.

-4🥔Spargo - smart but essentially physically too weak. Tackled too easily.

-5🥔Rivers - ran into trouble and panicked and fumbled. Costly mistakes.

-6🥔 Sparrow - terrible all night. Missed goals. Missed opportunities. Cost us. Dumb tackles. Career worst game by far.

Referring to our players as 'spuds' says more about you than it does the players.

Excellent and accurate summary.

As bad as Sparrow was last night, his career worst games was the Queens Bday game in Sydney last year.

Posted whilst angry, disappointed, frustrated etc etc. Feel like for all the years we’ve been downtrodden, our team is really good and could’ve won it again. Really disappointed in the decisions made by several repeat offenders. I know they’re not spuds.

Btw there was some positives in the star ️ ratings.

Learn from it and don’t do it, seriously it’s absolutely cringeworthy (not just directed at you) to read posts clearly made solely based on emotion and frustration

It is sort of funny how one food is offensive but another is endearing!

6 Petty

5 Oliver

4 ANB

3 Langdon

2 Harmes

1 Petracca

Honorable mentions to: T Mac, Joel Smith, Bedford - who would have played great games had Sparrow, Jackson and Rivers been dropped as many on here called for.

6 - Tracc - hampered but tough and skilled, goal kicking has fallen away

5 - Harmes - provided the link option and one of few who can mark one on one

4 - Petty - saved us time and time again what an asset he is

3 - Langdon - tried his heart out but disposal a bit off tonight

2 - Clayton - Umpires enemy got no protection is a tough champion

1 - ANB for a good 1st half - needs to back himself more

After half time we couldn’t buy a mark or kick a clean goal, they were slotting them from 50, perfect playing conditions in front of 62,000 mainly MFC and couldn’t get it done. Vey sad second half at the G last night.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

    TRAINING: Wednesday 11th December 2024

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

Some veteran Demonland Trackwatchers ventured down to Gosch's Paddock to bring you the following observations from another Preseason Training Session. WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

A couple of intrepid Demonland Trackwatchers headed down to Gosch's Paddock for the midweek Preseason Training Session to bring you the following observations. Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
