Ticket sales update!?

SEN early this morning said 3 of the finals are sell-outs and the other one (ours) is on the verge of being a sell-out.

All reports make it sound like the crowd will be 80k+.

All the unused Corporate allocations have gone on sale in the AFL Reserve and Public Reserve which are about 150 tickets to be sold mainly in category 1. These will all sell out by tonight hopefully which leaves:

Level 1, 2 and 2A hopefully all sold out again by tonight

Level 4:

  • Q1-Q6 Rows A-Y Sold (Z-DD on Sale)
  • Q7-Q15 1/2 Sold Out
  • Q15 1/2-Q21 Rows A-T sold (Afl Reserve)
  • Q22-Q27 Rows A-J Sold (Afl Reserve)
  • Q28-Q30 Sold Out
  • Q31-Q34 Rows A-KK Sold (LL-MM on Sale)
  • Q35-Q48 Sold Out
  • Q49-Q55 Rows A-BB Sold (CC-MM not on sale but I could be mistaken here)
  • Q56-Q57 Sold Out

Still think it will be high 70s but hoping to be wrong and it gets to 80.

Hey folks, I'm travelling in nth Qld for holidays over the next two weeks but if all goes to plan, I'm hoping to come down for the prelim and granny... Fingers crossed.

Would it be fair to say I need to be in front of a compooter on Monday morning 12th sept? Is that the date prelim tix would go on sale?

Cheers Brownie

Depends if you are a member or general admission category.

Check MFC website and AFL website,  Heraldsun or ring membership Dept of the Club early on the Monday or the digital options after the Semi Finals round round on the weekend.

Prelim Tickets  won't be announced until the competing Clubs are finalised.

If in doubt ring membership at MFC. Or get on Demonland and ask.

Goodluvk enjoy your break and safe travels.

Given that a fair bit of the the top level of the AFL members is currently unsold, that's an indication that we won't be getting 80,000 +.

These will be sold to GA and club supporters, and walk-ups on the night.

Very few members in AFL of Dees and Swans fans And neutral fans dont go to finals any more.
if most of the rest is full then 80,000 or plus is quite possible or even probable.

Fair call for sure.

I would be more confident of 80,000+ if the public and/or AFL members was sold out. Factoring in that there will be a few thousand no shows with COVID, personal issues, late change of mind etc...

Also bear in mind that Carlton V Collingwood 'only' got 88,000 despite the AFL members and public selling out. Our game neither area is sold out yet.

75K IMO.

If anyone needs tickets have some on level 1 AFL members near the front, these are concession/junior tickets

OK Mr KIA

tell me what % of neutral supporters attend Finals now compared to 20,30 and 50 years ago?

Assuming you are of an older generation who has some history on this matter.

My take is people who have bought tickets will Make  every effort to attend.( Unless dippers in MCC area )

Covid has sorted out goers and no goers by NOW and some may feel the urge being a Final to give it a go as things are easing in all areas esp. cities. Personal issues will not be affected any more than normal and Late change of mind is only MCC as others all have tickets,

Rain is the only other downer and I believe is not an issue.

Betw 75 /82 ??

I’m going on Friday night thanks to @Grapeviney. I haven’t been to a Melbourne final since Jimmy ran over the mark.
Go Demons!!

I have a couple of tickets that I'd like to off load, I finished up getting tickets through a club function up the other end of the ground in the Ponsford Stand. So I now have 4 and only need 2.

The tickets are Section M9 Category 2 in the ground level of the SW stand seats Q 13 and 14

Anyone interested PM me, will sell them for less than cost just want to make sure they don't go to waste.

I still have these spare tickets and if anyone needs them they are going for a really good price, I have other tickets and if they don't get sold soon they will remain empty.

Let’s go again folks, 10am Monday 5th for club members.

Do you know when the barcodes get sent out?

Condition of sale- support our by boys by making some bloody noise!

If you watched the Freo Doggies game, that is the level of support we got over in the west last year. And as Longmuir said after the game it impacted on his players and opposition alike.

We must take advantage of our home crowd advantage!

No TSD, wasn’t mentioned by Melbourne media. My guess would be by this afternoon.

Guessing 60,000 would be a good crowd this week, can't really see many more than that turning up.

Lucky to get 45k I reckon

We're a fickle lot.

And I can already see supporters not showing up purely because of last week. Which is pathetic.

If we get under 60k it'll be embarrassing.

Cmon Dees fans. This our chance to make the G as inhospitable as we can.

Get there. Make a hell of a noise. Show the team how much we appreciate them.

It sounded to me like we made plenty of noise a couple of nights ago. If you really think the crowds are to blame for the team's weak performances then you're delusional

What I do know is that it certainly didn’t help them

MCC 9.00am Monday

Here we go again the lucky jackpot Grrrrrrrrr!!!!

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

Following a disastrous 0–5 start to the season, the Demons have now made it three wins in a row, cruising past a lacklustre West Coast side on their own turf. Skipper Max Gawn was once again at his dominant best, delivering another ruck masterclass to lead the way.

It's Game Day and the Demons have a chance to notch up their third consecutive win — something they haven’t done since Round 5, 2024. But to do it, they’ll need to exorcise the Demons of last year’s disastrous trip out West. Can the Dees continue their momentum, right the wrongs of that fateful clash, and take another step up the ladder on the road to redemption?
