The comment was definitely NOT ‘l hope your mother dies’. Idk where Robinson got that from. And I’m amazed he can report something (on such a sensitive issue) that’s totally untrue.

Unless you are prepared the tell what you know, why comment. It’s been denied it was the comment about his sister and Bastinac. So if not his mother, then what. You don’t to repeat verbatim, but you keep making claims and then being ambiguous.

Thank you. The "I know something you don't know but I can't tell you" routine gets way too overdone here.

Won’t somebody close this thread?!?

it’s already dead!

Thank you NC. 💕

And you’re right, it’s not my opinion.

I’m entitled to comment in this thread without having to go into detail.

Everyone else has freely expressed their disgust/anger/disbelief at this incident, why should it be any different in my case, right?

But this isn’t actually about the HP incident. This particular poster has it in for me regardless of what thread we’re in. It’s a good thing I’m growing a thicker skin just like Uncle Bitter said I should. 🙂

Harry was mature enough to leave it on the field.

I trust our boys will take it back up with Zorko when we next meet on the field.

@Neil Crompton a bit more answering and less face palming would boost my respect for you.

How about you respect that HP and MFC want to keep this as private as they can for obvious reasons. It’s really none of your business, nor is it your right to know.
And I could really care less about boosting your respect for me.

Do the AFLPA weald the power to sanction another player? i wasn't aware that they (potentially) had this authority.

The AFLPA can make whatever rules they like so long as they get the agreement of their members, and the governance is agreed. I’m sure most players  by now would have a pretty good understanding of this incident, and I’d be amazed if 99 percent of them didn’t agree that Zorko should be severely sanctioned.

This is a governance issue and therefore should take place behind closed doors and need not involve HP at all if he doesn’t want. It is however of such outrageous behaviour that it requires some penalty, if only to ensure justice is done, and to make all players realise there are consequences for this sort of outrageous antisocial behaviour, especially when directed at innocent fellow players.

There is a reason this hasn't been explained.

If it was racism it would rightly be called out.

I have suspicions about what was said and the reason it hasn't been annouced.

Sh/t post I know but let us all back HP no matter what was said.

Listen, I don't want to know about it and I don't know why that person feels the need to speculate on it. It is inappropriate to do so and is further fueling the talk on this thread that really needs to be put to bed. Don't take it out on people just because their opinion  is different to yours.

If someone is going to speculate however I'd rather a journo than someone who has proven not to know anything about anything.

Unnecessary.

Give it a rest mate. It's the internet, anonymous people will write things then you can take it or leave it. No need to harass posters (and I say harass because this is not the first time).

And in terms of a penalty, the damage to Zorko's reputation is penalty enough.

Also the fact that he is captain is penalty enough for Brisbane. Will never win anything with this tiny angry [censored] in charge.

They are a toothless tiger in this area. Never forget who provides their funding. The only time they buck the AFL is at salary time.

agree - Zorko is the big loser here. He has trashed whatever was left of his reputation and will be unlikely to get any high level coaching job post retirement.

Hird filled his players with banned substances and is being looked at again.

You never can tell.

I guess that's right but I doubt Hird will get up for Essendrug. if he does, they deserve all they get which will be further division and dysfunction.

Hird ??? Double standards here.

Seems some people break the rules pay the penalty & its all ok

Others break the rules, pay the penalty & then have to keep paying.

I suppose you decide who gets to be forgiven & who doesn't.

Cranky Franky versus faultydet?

Now there's a match up I'd pay good money to watch

  • AFLW REPORT: Gold Coast

The forecast said wind. The ladder said mismatch. The scoreboard said obliteration. Melbourne didn’t just beat Gold Coast — they dismantled them: 13.15 (93) to 0.6 (6). An 87-point obliteration, the Suns held goalless, and the Demons delivering their second-highest winning margin and third-highest score in AFLW history.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #28 Will Verrall

It was a tough ask for him to break through as a 199cm ruckman in the shadow of an all-time great in that position who is also the club captain. He had some good days at Casey but was unable to progress and was delisted at the end of the season.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #29 Tom Campbell

The 33-year-old Campbell has yet to play AFL football for Melbourne, but his Casey form has been strong and he has been retained as a ready-made ruck depth option who is widely regarded as someone who is excellent for the culture of the club.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #30 Harry Sharp

The Demons acquired an interesting player in Sharp, who narrowly missed securing a spot in the Lions’ premiership team last year. The 22-year-old medium forward played in the opening round this season and ended up with 18 senior games, although he was substituted in or out in for ten of those matches. He demonstrated glimpses of form, but ultimately ended the year on the margins of the team.

Worked his way back after a slow start and a further slump in form going into the midseason but became a solid contributor for the club in the latter half of 2025. Closing in on 300 goals for the club.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Gold Coast

On Friday, the Demons return to our Casey Fields fortress where they have a 77% win rate. The scent of September is in the air and the struggling Suns are on the horizon. The Cranbourne weather forecast? Ominous, like the match itself: a strong chance of carnage. Let’s be honest, last week’s first half against the West Coast was a training drill but we dropped our guard in the final quarter. While this match is a mismatch on paper — second versus seventeenth — football is won in the wind, the contests, and the moments.
