might be unique in this opinion but I’ve got respect for mitch robinson. Has always played hard, lived on the edge and got the best out of himself. Called is bruise free when we were

Mitch has done well at Brisbane but speak to Rohan Bail about him

We should back Petty 1000% but if he’s happy to not escalate things it would be nice if we could keep the details under wraps. Doesn’t mean we excuse Zorko, but it would show we’re focused on the job and protect Petty from whatever it was that set him off to begin with

Don’t know that story DS…I’ve obviously missed one there. I like Rohan. He was a real tryer for us

Zorko's apparently deactivated his instagram already.

2 wrongs don’t make a right, imagine there’s some awful stuff coming his way and we can’t even be 100% sure it’s justified yet. Still a chance it was all a misunderstanding

Pretty poor by Zorko, started with a failed attempt of physicality

Ending up with apparently some very unsavoury comments about a family member

How in Gods name is this bloke an AFL Captain

He couldn’t try very hard after Mitch smashed his head in at Casey one day.

I didn’t like seeing that. It was a horrible look for the game, and really cast a shadow over the last quarter and post game.

It’s prime time Friday night. This is going to be a story, and I think Zorko is either going to look shady, or the reality of it comes out and he looks worse.

Im not sure why anyone thinks it’s going away. Am I missing something?

There’s no way it’s going away, also no way the afl wouldn’t get involved. But if it can be handled quickly and without fuss it might benefit us. It’s absolutely awful that Petty has to deal with this when our players should be absolutely buzzing for the next few days

And again Petty goes unheralded for a sensational performance and a great last quarter. He is a star and he’s only 22.

We were raving about him at my place tonight.  My son bought up his age which I had forgotten about.  So young with a wonderful future.

Feel for Harrison, and hope he is ok.

2 potential positives (on the assumption that it doesn’t have an ongoing neg effect for Petty)

a) team bonding. Strengthen the theme of “team” and how they play for each other

b) distract the media away from the main story (fact that we should be flag fav’s, and are back to our 2021 best) Let them continue to pump the cats up, and pressure of expectation is all on them.

I agree.

It needs to be dealt with, and Zorko deserves every last bit of (fair) punishment coming his way if this was more than a misunderstanding, but the less spotlight the better IMO.

Fortunately there's a week off next week so the story will die down well before our first final no matter what.

100%, every team in the comp would die to have this guy nullifying the 2nd or 3rd banana every week whilst seemingly going unnoticed

Dorko's always been a sniper, just glad he tried to snipe Tmac last year, sat him on his [censored].

Any ramifications on his choke hold on Ed?

Gutless campaigner

The game was at Princes Park.

Robinson dropped him 100m off the ball while he wasn't looking.

Paul Wheatley terrorised him for the rest of the game and Robinson wanted to be somewhere else.

I was in the rooms after the game and Bail was clearly out of sorts.

He did thank Wheatley for squaring up.

Disgusting act by Robinson.

Unfortunately with no football the story might have legs this week...

...but the EFC should come to the rescue, nothing like a big club in disarray to hog the headlines.

Meanwhile, Mr Petracca has something to say in the rooms

Feel for Harry, the last thing he'd want is everyone commenting on this very personal matter.

Hopefully this all goes away quickly for his sake

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
