I think they’ve handled him dreadfully. Why put this in the public domain? That club stinks. They haven’t known when to put their arm around their players and when to expect more.

He’s a first year player in the system. He’s clearly fed up with getting no support and learning very little.

I don't disagree with that either  but the media frenzy has also fed off this rubbish as well.  It's like Jack Watts all over again in some sense.

I also think it's a severe double standard.  Let's see the jurno the wrote the story take an ice bath until someone else says it's time.

Every chance Brisbane will fold

Softest 50 of all time

How dumb is footy sometimes?

Clubs employ a person to stand with giant cards telling the players how many minutes left. It looks like something from a weird Japanese TV show. A middle aged person in full sponsors gear holding a giant paper sign that says ‘90’.

Can we get the mascots to do it for a laugh?

As good as king is he might just cost the saints the game

How is King 5th in the Coleman with kicking like that? Saints lose it's on him.

I thought Max's goal kicking technique was bad. King is atrocious. Spins it in the hands and his grip is totally wrong. Surely he should go around the corner everytime. His drop punts are no chance with the way he kicks them

I feel sorry for this poor kid. It’s a flimsy reason for dropping him and what’s worse is he won’t get a chance to play in Adelaide in front of his family and friends, ie, people who actually do want to support him. 🙁

It must go with the name Max that just miss simple goals.

Watching the saints supporters looking away when King was lining up is how I am when Gawn kicks for goal.

King has legit kicked Saints out of finals.

St Kilda are the worst team in the AFL when they have ANYTHING to play for. The minute they have nothing to lose they come good.

King has lost them this and a chance at the 8. Poor fella

Wow - you'd want to skin King alive right now as a Saints supporter.

So king is a professional footballer. Full time job is to kick goals.

0.5.

[censored] me

I'd trade King. Has cost the Saints quite a few games this year and they'll get plenty for him.

  • PREVIEW: Collingwood

Way back in March we contemplated the possibility of a Demon resurgence after Simon Goodwin’s summer of love. Many issues at the club had seemingly been addressed, key players were returning from injury and a brand new day was about to dawn. We imagined the coach pulling a rabbit out of a hat. The team would roar up the charts, push aside every opponent and make its way to a Grand Final ending in ultimate triumph with Goody and Max holding the premiership cup aloft under a shower of red and blue ticker tape.

  • AFLW REPORT: Western Bulldogs

We’re back! That was fun. The Mighty Dees’ Season 10 campaign is off toa flying start with a commanding 48-point winover the Western Bulldogs, retaining the Hampson-Hardeman Cup in style. After a hard-fought first half in slippery conditions, the Dees came out in the second half and showcased their trademark superior class, piling on four goals in the third termand never looked back.

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.
