Weid has had his chances but has shown nothing to inspire confidence. However, having said said that, I hope he plays a blinder !!!! And .....who knows ...... him being the number one ... the one and only KPF may be just the fillip he needs to get his [censored] into gear!! Bit of deja vu there uncle! Wish i had $100 for everytime i've read this about the Weid 1 1 Quote

Too many players down on form/injured/out. If we win more than one match in the finals I'll be pleasantly surprised. We saved our absolute best for September last year. Why can't we do that again this year? 1 Quote
Rab D Nesbitt 8,962 Posted July 22, 2022 Posted July 22, 2022 BB has been proppy since he limped off at half time in the Adelaide game. We've done well to manage him through the last few games. I don't know if I'm more worried about him missing or that Weid is taking his place. 4 Quote
Travy14 2,142 Posted July 22, 2022 Posted July 22, 2022 OK Weid grab it now!!!! Finals around the corner and a chance to get in the side and be there if we make it deep! 3 3 Quote

(He isn't a Buddy.) I think we need a stable forward line, going into the final series. If it functions well without him , I can see us not picking BBB. He's performed better with a dickie knee than Weideman has produced in his whole career. BBB was very good last week. If Weid comes close to emulating what BBB does, I'll be shocked. 3 Quote
Kick_It_To_Pickett 3,293 Posted July 22, 2022 Posted July 22, 2022 I’m not interested in whether Weid can kick a bag, but looking for him to hold his marks. No more dropped marks or double grabbers. Clunk it at the highest point/or bust the pack and allow Pickett and Spargo to go to work 4 1 1 Quote
DubDee 26,681 Posted July 22, 2022 Posted July 22, 2022 Brown finally takes a few marks and now is out. Typical. Beginning to doubt if he can run a season Quote
dazzledavey36 56,347 Posted July 22, 2022 Posted July 22, 2022 Eek... Would have been happy with the Weideman/Brown combo but Weideman as the sole key forward doesn't fill me with much confidence at all unfortunately. 2 1 Quote

I can also see ANB and Viney, taking some time deep in the forward area and getting some snaps, from the front and centre positioning under Weid. 1 Quote
mo64 5,911 Posted July 22, 2022 Posted July 22, 2022 BBB has been asked to do too much. Little wonder he couldn't get up. Our rucks were pathetic up forward last week. If they don't contribute again, can't see us winning. 1 1 Quote

Be great if we can get some ball into him quickly and allow him to get out back or some separation when on his lead. Quote

A combo of Mitch Brown and either Tomlinso or Van Rooyen on the other hand!! REALLY LAST CHANCE HOTEL FOR WEEDS I HAVE TO SAY 1 Quote

Rob Mac...... 643 Posted July 22, 2022 Posted July 22, 2022 (edited) I'd be more confident if they used Tomlinson back (the backline worked well with him last week) and brought Petty forward. Petty's better than Weid, even forward. Edited July 22, 2022 by Rob Mac...... 7 Quote
Macca 17,127 Posted July 22, 2022 Posted July 22, 2022 (edited) Gawn just has to be played as a permanent forward for this game Edited July 22, 2022 by Macca Quote
Fat Tony 5,337 Posted July 22, 2022 Posted July 22, 2022 I think Weideman will do better as the sole forward rather than alongside Brown. At least he will know it’s up to him to compete every time. 2 Quote

DemonWA 3,941 Posted July 22, 2022 Posted July 22, 2022 Go well Sam. The fast pace of matches at Marvel might help him. Coupled with the fact he will be the primary target in F50. Quote

No need for Petty down back this week if they bring Tomo as a late in (subject to Petty / team spending time training with him as a forward?). Quote
