I really hope the club makes the decision to wear our normal home strip this weekend.

I have no any issues whatsoever wearing an indigenous strip once a year like years gone by, but four times in a season is overkill. Particularly this one, which is probably the least striking strip we’ve had and just doesn’t look like a football jumper. Mates of mine reckon it looks like a pyjama top and it’s hard to disagree with that sadly.

I know there’s more important things to worry about, but it’s worth making this point.

I quite like the look of it and what it represents especially in the NT in front of so many local indigenous supporters. I'm sure the boys will be keen to wear it up there.

But in the end who cares what strip we're wearing just win the bloody game.

Haven't we only won once wearing it?

That should be enough to consign it to history

No way will i go near this topic after the savage mauling i copped yesterday.

Having said that i hope the incoming AFL chief brings in a new dress code. AFL footballers are running around half naked in those tight shorts and sleevless playschool tops regardless of club colours. They look silly. Theyre men so put some clothes on ie rugby and even soccer.

Carltons away outfit '22 was embarrassing.

They could wear pink and purple polka dotted mankinis for all I care, as long as we have a win.

I've made it clear that I don't like this jumper but if there is a time and a place to wear it, it's this one.

After we lost to Geelong saw quite a few facebook replies having a go at the jumper as if they were blaming it for the loss.

Wonder if the Geelong facebook replies were complimenting their Retro Jumper for getting them the win aha.

At the end of the day we wore it 2 times in the Sir Doug Nicholls Round/s (one away, one home) and then we wore it last week as it was NAIDOC week. Wearing it in the NT seems rather fitting?

Let's win this week and then the top can rest in neutrality with a 2-2 record.

Wearing our indigenous jumper shows respect for our hosts and would be most appreciated by the NT government that is footing the bill.    And locals may identify more with the mighty demons.  Hopefully, we have a good stock of them and Narmm merchandise to take to Alice.

Imagine if Port turn up in their indigenous jumper and we don't:  headlines for all the wrong reasons.

I doubt this would be an issue if it was in any way half decent looking.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

No issue with the jumper. Can't get over the fact we are playing a home game in Alice this late in the season with top 4 on the table. Carlton, Collingwood, Geelong, Brisbane, Freo all ending the season in normal climates and fixtures and we are travelling all over the country.

Seriously either do this [censored] early in the season or not at all. I don't give a [censored] what it generates for us financially and I really don't care for the feel good PR component anymore. Great for the community in Round 18 is just as great for the community in Round 10.

Be grateful if Clarry doesn't play if that's the case. Pink and Purple are not his tones.

Every colour is Clarry’s tone. There’s a fella that gives his all no matter what

I would prefer we wear our normal jumper more often. I don't reckon we need an ANZAC jumper. Some insignia over the heart is a nice way to commemorate the ANZACs. The Indigenous jumpers showcase Indigenous art which is cool, but we don't need to wear it 4 times a year.

The situation is compounded this year because the design is poor and looks like Footscray. Last year's was really good.

Worn for the Sir Doug Nichols round, NAIDOC week, and our trip to the heart of the nation. Don’t see an issue.

They are playing poorly, the jumper is seeing the ire as we search for easy excuses and even easier fixes.

Those who blame the jumper are just being ridiculous and superstitious. Wouldn’t have mattered what jumper we wore last week, we still would have lost.

The jumper Is pretty awful I reckon but I’m sure some like it. I don’t know why they wear it so often but there’s no way they won’t wear it this weekend. Imagine the carry on if they didn’t…

Sure, but only one poster has linked performance with the jumper. That's not the complaint most are making.

This week is likely the last time we'll wear it, there will be a different design next year.

Don't see the point in complaining about it now other than everyone being extra snippy because we lost last week.

Because we'll likely wear it 4 times again next year, which many feel is too many.

It will be a different design next year. Isn't the problem you have with the look of the jumper? That's seemingly the complaint here by those whinging about it.

Totally agree. In a year that should be all about building our brand, we are looking as if we will have worn an alternative jumper 4/17 rounds. That’s almost a quarter of the season.

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.
