Gee I thought the Lions would be fired up after last week!

midfield missing

Doesn't help that Zorko is subbed out before 1/4 time

It's certainly not Free Kick Doggies tonight

Not really

We'll need to win 6 of the next 8 to be 1 or 2.

Our destiny is in our hands simply because of the logjam in the top 5 or 6

Freo and Geelong looking more likely at this stage

If we win on Saturday and beat Geelong at Kardinia Park life becomes more interesting

Lions losing helps our chances. Not sure how you can argue against that but I don’t wanna be argumentative [censored]. Lions look average right now but no doubt in my mind they will be our main challenger come finals

True. But their pressure has been poor

they will win but not a confidence builder

Dogs in very unfamiliar, iliar territory 13 / 5 frees against them

Yeah umps have crucified them. Usually the bullies get the rub of the green.

Umpiring has been interesting to say the least and surprising not favouring the Bulldogs

Great selection.

It would help if the dogs won tonight.

Really really hoping the suns knock off the pies

and of course would love to see the swans pummel the bummers and franklin has a day out.

I would prefer to play Brisbane in the finals over the Dogs

Zorko a month on the news, that doesn’t help their cause.

This one could go down to the wire. Brisbanes midfield is very questionable.

The injuries are starting to mount for Brissy after being close to full strength a few weeks ago.

Doggies need a Hibbo

He isn't a midfielder so they would never trade for him.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
