Don’t forget y’all…

If you’re in Fed. Square this morning, pop over to the Demon Army’s sausage sizzle!

A snag or five before you walk to the ‘G will warm you up on the inside AND provide more $$$ for FightMND.

Or even just come to say hello! I’ll be the jumpy one who’s running purely on coffee and Red Bull (lots of). 😃

GO DEES!!!

On paper we are the better team. No question

We've got the blowtorch treatment all week. It will focus our minds i reckon

The pies are in decent form themselves. This will not be a pushover

I expect a response from our boys. Big performance coming up

Last year,  this year, we are a good footy team.

all pleased when a player makes a debut.

Good teams respond, as we will.

It will be a very interesting game. Not easy.

12 points either way Go Dees

It's never a pleasant experience being the away side at the G against this mob. Actually considered watching this one on the box for all of 5 minutes. Does anyone know where the general admission areas will be down at the Punt Road end of the ground today as I want to have as few of these soap dodgers around me as possible?

I was going to go to this game, only to find out the carpark is shut except for permit and disability. Not going to bother driving the 1.5-2hours and then try to find street parking somewhere. And the train is more expensive than driving for me. What’s the thinking having the ground closed for a game like this?

This just happened:

So I’m sitting on the steps of a disused building in Flinders Street coz no benches, having one last coffee before sausage duties. A guy walks past, I smile and nod coz me. He comes back and tries to give me a $10 note. Dude thought I was homeless!!! Of course I refused the money and tried to convince him that I am not a beggar. Two cops happened to walk by and heard us. One of the cops says, “nah mate, she’s definitely not doing it tough, have a look, she’s a Melbourne supporter.”🤣

Various car parks around the city have on-line pre-booked car parking.

For street parking best bet is the area east of Church street and walk 20 minutes.

Wet weather results in park surface being cut up. This has been the policy for 10-15 years. Cannot say I disagree with it. Seems logical to me.

From my experience you will end up in the third deck. Players look like ants. The alternative? Be surrounded by pies.

Fed Sq car park is usually $15 for the day and that's where the 'Walk to the G' starts from, including a Dee Army BBQ etc. If you sway on your decision, that would be my plan.

If our boys are serious we win this game

Brisbane, Fremantle and Carlscum all winning makes this even more important

Another loss to a team that is not a real contender would be a concern particularly with our relatively tough home stretch

General Admission Areas:

Shane Warne Stand
    •    Q1-Q6

Ponsford Stand
    •    Q31-Q36 (rows AA-MM)

Olympic Stand
    •    General Admission seating not available

it only costs $3 more to upgrade to a reserved seat on level 4. GA areas are sold out so you’d have to get there very early if you want to get in.

Joining the the early birds this dry season morning. But we're not giving an ornithologist's cuss about the magpie resurgence.

Time for a serious cull Demons.

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the

GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

It's Game Day and it very well could be the last roll of the dice for the Demon's finals aspirations in 2024. A loss to the bottom side would be another embarrassing moment in a cursed year for the Dees whilst a win could be the spark they need to reignite the fire in the belly.

    THE HUNTER by The Oracle

Something struck me as I sat on the couch watching the tragedy of North Melbourne’s attempt to beat Collingwood unfold on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.    It was three quarter time, the scoreboard had the Pies on 12.7.79, a respectable 63.16% in terms of goal kicking ratio. Meanwhile, the Roos’ 18.2.110 was off the charts at 90.00% shooting accuracy. I was thinking at the same time of Melbourne’s final score only six days before, a woeful 6.15.51 or 28.57% against Collingwood’s 14.5.89

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t
