Geez he's an impressive individual. you've gotta take your hat off to the recruiting staff, listening to him speak he sounds like a born leader.

Strikes me as a future coach. I believe he's one of those players who knows he has had to work hard to achieve success. It's the sort of background which he can draw upon should he choose to coach others.

Fabulous interview. Honestly, I thought at the end of 2020, he would be on his way out. Since then, he has become one of our most important players - I thought he was the player we missed most in the Hawks game. His endurance and toughness has ensured that our game plan works from the front. Superb individual.

I've got all sorts of respect for ANB.

He is one of the un acknowledged leaders in this team and if his attitude and behaviours rub off on some of the younger guys, that's a massive plus for us !!!!

He doesn't always set the stats sheets on fire, but his value is measured not just in kicks, handballs and tackles.

100% agree, and not only that, but he’s become a key figure in our Leadership Group.  
Gee, our Club has come a long way in a short time, and  much of that rise has been on the back of highly trusted role players like Nibbler and players of similar ilk.

One point he made, which I think is absolutely spot on, is that the younger players coming through don't need to do the 3 years o cultural change that ANB, Gawn, Petracca, Oliver etc etc had to do. They are now learning 'on the tools' from these guys, which I think is the key to a successful club and dynasty - look at how the Swans have stayed up for so long. You think about the likes of Garland, Trengrove, Sylvia, Watts etc - really, they never stood a chance to learn properly.

Welcoming Narrm Football Club

We were about 20 goals up in the last quarter of the granny and the forwards were celebrating yet another match sealing goal, when ANB came running in and seemingly admonished the players that the job wasn’t done yet. Respectfully, they immediately focused back on the job at hand.

Now THAT’S the mark of a leader!

Yes, and you can add Jack Grimes to that list, and both he and Trenners were made joint captains while they were still learning their trade. Seriously, what chance did they have when compared to today’s draftees?

That is it. The whole Club from Top to Bottom knows what is required at each level. 
Knowledge can be passed on and then fully expected. 
Success is not taken for granted. It is earnt with hard work and high standards

Great interview. ANB is intelligent, committed and driven to succeed and it is also clear he loves the game and our club. He has taken his game to a whole different level in the past couple of years and has become the incredibly effective two-way runner and link man who has become so important to our forward structure. We really missed him against the Hawks. A very impressive young man.
