Zac Jones is an embarrassment to the Jones name.

We are a great team.

Lever deserves the next 2 weeks off.

Played a fantastic first quarter and a half but credit to St Kilda they didn’t drop their heads and came back at us hard

System and defensive structures neigh on impregnable

Quiet today but 15 straight for Bowsey is a record. Well done son

8-0 and travelling nicely

Go Dees

Should have won by 200

McDonald slowly getting some confidence back, Pickett too

Not a bad crowd either just over 35,000. More than what I thought we'd get.

Congrats Tom on your 200th & good the boys got up & won. He played well to

I like the Red & Blueprint which reads 8-0.

Well done Demons! 🔵🔴🔵🔴

Great game by Gus, good 3qtr performance, slightly disappointing we couldn’t put the foot down in the 3rd

Have to wait till next week or failing that the week after

This is why we're considered the best side. Even when teams come at us, we find a way to stop their momentum and prevent them from getting back in the game. We're just so difficult to beat.

Langdon is an absolute star. If he keeps performing at this level throughout the rest of the season, he'll definitely be in the All-Australian team. I'm loving Brayshaw's season as well. The defensive side of his game has improved out of sight.

Fancy an Umpire keeping a dirty team in a game....oh and by the way Max try to get near the ball in marking contests...it doesn't look good!!

Well done Tommy Mac.  200 games, and put the ‘great debate’ to rest for the next little while, I reckon.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.

  • POSTGAME: North Melbourne

The Demons are finally back at the MCG and finally back on the winners list as they continually chipped away at a spirited Kangaroos side eventually breaking their backs and opening the floodgates to run out winners by 6 goals.
