Teams have learnt to read Gawn’s taps. But Jackson is the one who is difficult to play against because he gets his own ball.

I just can't see how they're going to be able to stop the influence of Gawn/Jackson as targets around the ground. even if they somehow manage to do okay in the ruck

Cognoscenti but wrong I hope

As long as Jake Bowey is playing….

....yes ! Hes still yet to lose a game.

Perhaps we should call him The Messiah !

Yep as it should be, but both should be desperate.
Let’s not forget Fritsch either

he is due for a bag

...its funny i do tend to forget about Fritz, its like hes just another forward or something? But he kicked 6 in a winning Grand Final !! Still hard to believe.

Flying over with my family for tonight’s game. Really hoping for a good performance otherwise it’ll be a sad flight home.

You’ll be leaving Adelaide… never a sad thing.

Are you sure he isn't just a naughty boy?

Wouldn’t be surprised to hear Trac a late out and Dunstan or Howes in

We're not taking him to Adelaide to rest him

I must be a pessimist because I’ve actually backed Port to win at the $3.50 mark. I don’t think we are playing good footy. I think Essendon are a legit VFL level side, and we struggled with them for much of last week. I also think we carried many passengers from the week before into that game. Also, it’s in Adelaide. The umpiring will be next level. How much longer can we keep wrestling against momentum in matches where umpiring dictates the flow of the game. At some point a team gets tired. We are constantly umpired out of games we somehow wrestle back momentum and win. Due for a loss.

I think it will be far closer than most think. We have looked tired and they'll be up and about. Port are very good at knocking off Premiership teams in the home and away season.

But we are taking emergencies.
Wonder why that is?

Not overly confident for tonight.  Think we will need to see a big improvement from last week especially in the middle as I thought we were poor there last week and Boak and Wines are better than we faced last week.
Having said that I still think we will win as having Lever back and they are still missing key Aliir and Dixon.

Be great to  get the win and improve our form a bit we play 8 out the next 10 at the G, Goody spoke last season (before covid changed finals plans)about how we want to really wanted the G where we play our best footy.
The run of games after tonight’s will be the perfect opportunity to do so.

Is that a real question?

Because we take emergencies to every single interstate game.....

Sarcasm guys.

someone said we’re not taking him there to rest him. But we have emergencies for the very reason of last minute issues coming up

Trac’s knee could blow up off a 6 day break. No point pushing him for this game.  Unless he is 100% right

bad case of mfcss there, dub

cheer up and enjoy another win

They're not going to play ducks and drakes by flying him over and not playing him. If he's unfit, they'd leave him in Melbourne.

Not confident at all, especially without Ben Brown. Don't see Weid kicking a bag again, so unless Fritta steps up, I can see the game being a low scoring slog.

As a supporter I don't see night games as a perk. To me they are a pain. Good for club coffers I admit but I would rather day games.

I don't mind night games on Fridays and Saturdays. But I absolutely detest night games on Thursday or Wednesday (except Anzac eve).

I think the AFL is damaging football with Thursday night games because (1) there's too much football on TV overall and (2) it weakens the appeal of Friday night football. Surely someone will explain to the AFL Commission the concept of scarcity and how it adds value to any product.

If we can’t beat port missing Aliir, Dixon, Gray and Duursma and in poor form without Brown we have bigger issues

Just to add Crows kicked nearly a 100 points with there structure and personal we certainly should no excuse

Could happen but Port aren't exactly setting the world on fire with 3 losses.

It would be a nice place without the rabid afl fans.

Anyone else told at school not to see that flick?

Which of course all made us go and see it.

Its a tough call though as Bbb seems to be the premier choice regardless.

As he should be, he stood up in our three finals last year when needed.

Tip for Demons players ... kick goals rather than points, particularly early in the match.

I think that if we can start off well and open up a good margin, the game will be over at quarter time. Port will be flat and so will their fans. It's very important to kill the contest early.
