I know!
I bought a number plate today. If we win next year do I just replace it with other one?
I am really hoping they release memorabilia with our indigenous jumper design from this year. My favorite jumper of all time!

I get it! I already have a Melbourne number plate on my car But NOT a Melbourne Premiership Number plate. I am not in any way shape or form cashed up, but I may never get another chance to get Melbourne Premiership stuff! Though I am hoping for a 4peat! LOL

As mentioned earlier - while I’ve got the premiership edition commemorative jumper, what I really want to get next year is our 2022 jumper with the gold AFL logo.

Always been super jealous of the premiers getting to wear that the season after.

Does anyone know if the stock that sold out will be restocked? missed out on the white premiers tee and would love one!

I’m so out of the loop with winning anything that I had no idea that was even a thing.

Wish they had golden spoon jumpers so I was familiar with these things.

Yes this irrationally excites me too.

I never thought I'd see a Melbourne jumper with the gold reigning premiers logo, but next year its ours!

I had no doubt they’d do that. But who can wait that long? Besides, I want an extra copy in case my DVD runs out from to much wear. Hopefully it’ll be in blu ray too

There’ll be one in blu ray Cass, always is, but it’ll be even later. Sellers want you to get the first release, then have to go again when they release the better version. Be out before Xmas though.

Trust me, I've worked in product development for a decade. The club is making a pretty penny on that stuff. Those t-shirts would cost like $5 to make.

Dad and I just bought premiership number plates!

I remember back in the 90's North complained that the extra costs involved in playing finals (players, coaches, staff, functions) was not covered by the modest prize money, and not having a large supporter base to buy merchandise were lucky to break even.  I dont think we will have that problem.

Had to buy this one.
“it’s Coming Home”

Do they have Albatross smugglers?

Ethan, I hope you have made the most of our win and bought a T Shirt. 🙂

Is there anywhere other than the HS shop to buy the DVD. Don’t really want to give Murdoch too much $

Update: AFL Store

Gary Pert mentioned on SEN that we have sold $2.6m worth of merch in the last month. Which is over 3 years worth of merchandise

And that's before the cheese boards were available.

You all laughed at me but they said OTC yesterday they've sold over 400 of those bad boys!

Combining cheese and a flag is genius. Hard to find two things in life that taste better.

I noticed them on the site. Thought it was a master stroke. Best to embrace it!

What a great week! The Dees won, Buller grew by a few mm in the earthquake, and the gruyere was on special at Leo's. :)

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

The media has performed a complete reversal in its coverage of the Melbourne Football Club over the past month and a half. Having endured intense criticism from all quarters in the press, which continually identified new avenues for scrutiny of every aspect, both on and off the field, and prematurely speculated about the departures of coaches, players, officials, and various employees from a club that lost its first five matches and appeared out of finals contention, the narrative has suddenly shifted to one of unbridled optimism.  The Demons have won five of their last six matches, positioning themselves just one game (and a considerable amount of percentage) outside the top eight at the halfway mark of the season. They still trail the primary contenders and remain far from assured of a finals berth.

  • REPORT: Sydney

A few weeks ago, I visited a fellow Melbourne Football Club supporter in hospital, and our conversation inevitably shifted from his health diagnosis to the well-being of our football team. Like him, Melbourne had faced challenges in recent months, but an intervention - in his case, surgery, and in the team's case, a change in game style - had brought about much improvement.  The team's professionals had altered its game style from a pedestrian and slow-moving approach, which yielded an average of merely 60 points for five winless games, to a faster and more direct style. This shift led to three consecutive wins and a strong competitive effort in the fourth game, albeit with a tired finish against Hawthorn, a strong premiership contender.  As we discussed our team's recent health improvement, I shared my observations on the changes within the team, including the refreshed style, the introduction of new young talent, such as rising stars Caleb Windsor, Harvey Langford, and Xavier Lindsay, and the rebranding of Kozzy Pickett from a small forward to a midfield machine who can still get among the goals. I also highlighted the dominance of captain Max Gawn in the ruck and the resurgence in form in a big way of midfield superstars Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver.

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.
