Funny thing is LeBron is smoking a Cohiba (not sure if they can get Cuban in USA or it’s Dominican) and gussy has the green band so prob a Romeo y Juliet from a local shop and possibly stale 😂

The elusive 13th… has arrived

Years ago I posted just wait until the 13 th is won, it will unleash a new football super side, how many more flags?

Now that I've managed to stop getting teary every time I watch the replays of that second half, I think I'm rational enough to post something. What an amazingly emotional night watching our team demolish the dogs. I can now get on with my life without mfcss plaguing my footy experience. I'm officially free of this insidious syndrome. The world will be a better place and the shadows of 57 years will no longer darken my days. Sounds dramatic, but that's how significant this victory is to me.

Sure it has been said by others, but I can't stop watching the final 60 secs of the 3rd quarter - arguably the greatest 60 seconds in our club's history

It’s the best minute in our clubs history for at least 60 years, and possibly ever. I’m going to watch it whenever I need to believe that the world is still a magical place.

When Clarry kicked his goal I like to think he pointed right at me and told me to calm the [censored] down. He’s got this.

Update possible UFO sighting? Just glimpsed McQueen’s machine parambulating around roundabout in front of Scarborough’s Rendezvous Grand. Must be on autopilot!

I could only watch the first 5 minutes; I checked the half time score, noted we'd stuffed up by kicking so many points and went to Demonland to catch some observations. I noted that yours was full of optimism. Dunno if you was takin the pee, but when I watched the replay today, I also felt that at half time the lads had stemmed the flow and were on the way back. Your prediction was spot on: kudos.

I was still thinking we were in it against the Cats at 44 points down.

Its scary to think that as a group they have more improvements to make.

Next year they will be a force.

Hi Rev good to see you up and about. Yes the monkey is off our backs now for 2022. Can we go to a game oh I hope so.

Last bit of merchandise I bought, beyond a cap or Tshirt, was the Woewodin Brownlow commemorative Port in 2000

Never drank it. Lost it in a bet after a Collingwood game.

Ill be getting some more I think. GrandFinal knife set looks a bit threatening mind you!

Although if you look at both lists it's hard to find a player who would do that kind of thing.

Also I had a look at the Bulldogs supporter site. They are gutted but gracious.

Yeah, I always imagined myself acting like a complete tool towards the opposition upon winning the cup but they really make it hard don't they?

Would love a premiership win against the Bombers so I can really let loose.

Would love to one day see the Saints jag one.

Would love even more to maul Essedun, Collingwood or the Hawks in the big one.

It’s been a long time living with this low grade football related anxiety. When I knew the game was done, I didn’t yell, scream or cry, as was my expectation. I felt a sense of relief, a lifting of the tension that had been quietly present over many years. The screaming came as I saw Kossie burst onto the pitch, as Tmac converted, to join the boys already bursting with elation. The tears and laughter came as the celebrations of old and new, history and present burst across the screen. Thank you for sharing your journey, let’s hope it’s not the last time we experience those feelings again.

I just finished listening to the SEN call and Whateley's commentary as the siren sounded and the celebrations began had me sobbing. "At the final bell"...can't be a coincidence. It appears he's familiar with our second verse

That is the moment Caleb will regret for life.
nightmares, alcoholism self loathing. It’s all possible

Didn't want to take away from the result at the time, but personally need to give a huge thank you to @Dante. The extra priority tickets allowed me to take my parents with me to the game. And I'm so glad my mum was there for when I started crying. Thank you so much, mate.

Gerard is a weird cat. But he does know how to commentate moments in a fabulous way

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Essendon

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 2 Jacob van Rooyen

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.
