Great Northern Summer 708 Posted September 16, 2021 Posted September 16, 2021 Our media promo just had us in our red back guernsey? Surely we’re not wearing them? I actually like it but wouldn’t see why... Quote
Demonland 74,430 Posted September 16, 2021 Posted September 16, 2021 I assume you're referring to this post. The jumpers don't have the 2021 AFL Grand Final logo on them so maybe not. 3 Quote
Lucifers Hero 40,716 Posted September 16, 2021 Posted September 16, 2021 Did someone say we aren't making players available for the media... ...looking at you Caro! 3 1 Quote

YesitwasaWin4theAges 6,822 Posted September 16, 2021 Posted September 16, 2021 Caro fairly and squarely put back in her place today by the players instead of her shooting her mouth off why not wait and see. The club were very good in 2018 why would this change now?. Looking for a headline grabbing opportunity during a GF build up. 1 Quote
Mazer Rackham 14,972 Posted September 16, 2021 Posted September 16, 2021 That's just Tracc in his jamies. 1 Quote
Bring-Back-Powell 15,547 Posted September 16, 2021 Posted September 16, 2021 (edited) Aside from this year we usually wear the red back against the Dogs in away games. We won’t be wearing it in the GF unless we request to. Edited September 16, 2021 by Bring-Back-Powell 1 Quote

DemonSam 171 Posted September 16, 2021 Posted September 16, 2021 (edited) We did originally have to wear the red backs against the dogs, but earlier this year we wore our regular jumper. Interesting though Viney is also wearing one... Edited September 16, 2021 by DemonSam Quote
david_neitz_is_my_dad 4,084 Posted September 16, 2021 Posted September 16, 2021 I don’t see why would they just randomly pull out the redbacks, gotta be wearing them on the big day?! Quote
ucanchoose 1,816 Posted September 16, 2021 Posted September 16, 2021 They could wear fuchsia g strings for all I care. Just win 3 Quote

Sideshow Bob 2,498 Posted September 16, 2021 Posted September 16, 2021 As the home team. We should be in traditional jumpers and blue shorts. Dogs as the away team should be in white shorts with their away (white strip) will be bloody annoyed if it's not that way - we have earned the right as minor premier and straight through 3 Quote
La Dee-vina Comedia 17,137 Posted September 16, 2021 Posted September 16, 2021 (edited) I think it's already been reported somewhere that each team will wear its traditional strip, with the Bulldogs in white shorts. MurDoc516 1,529 Posted September 16, 2021 Posted September 16, 2021 I'd be more annoyed if the AFL told us to wear the red back shirt over us choosing to wear it. It would be wrong for them to force us to change because a) The AFL let the doggies wear their home shirt full well knowing there is a slight clash. b) Officially announcing both teams would wear their traditional garb and c) we are the home team, doggies can wear white. Quote
ctm 31 Posted September 16, 2021 Posted September 16, 2021 There must be a reason behind this, I can’t see how all the players in the media photos would all be in the red back jumper out of coincidence…I hope we wear our traditional strip. Apparently Richmond drove a lot of revenue from sales of their 2017 premiership clash strip. Quote
Kick_It_To_Pickett 3,293 Posted September 16, 2021 Posted September 16, 2021 Yeah we have been told by AFL and 7 to wear red backs. I reckon they announced ‘traditional strip’ hoping that we would all be none the wiser. Absolute Joke! We deserve the home strip. While it isn’t a massive departure from our home jumper, it is not our jumper. Quote

titan_uranus 25,255 Posted September 16, 2021 Posted September 16, 2021 I suspect we were wearing the redback jumpers because we've sent our regular jumpers off to get the Grand Final logo heat pressed onto them. We stopped wearing the redback jumper after the 2019 season. We don't sell it any more. The AFL has already confirmed we're wearing our regular jumper, too. 3 3 Quote

Their jumpers are royal blue and there is no clash with our much darker navy blue. 1 Quote
