Because they have to isolate for 7 days before playing WCE

This is why WA doesn’t deserve a grand final.

They’ve made it so hard on the AFL and it’s clubs during this pandemic .

Doubt it. Wouldn’t they have to also isolate for 7 days before playing?

I’d say we’ll be playing GC in the pre finals bye if indeed we’re headed to Perth as we speak.

AFL should call the season off, it’s all over for us anyway, done and dusted!

Well I say Victoria hosts all games moving forward, as the government allows teams to play with no crowds even during a lockdown. The potential for this to severely disadvantage certain teams is what it is. The games get played, and it’s a bonus if fans are allowed in.

This nonsense today is proof that any other plan isn’t going to work, with Queensland stuffing this up, and WA wanting to make it next to impossible. NSW is out for obvious reasons. SA is the only other state that can make an argument for anything.

Just great.  Either we'll have our remaining games squeezed into midweek fixtures or we'll play non-contender gold coast during the pre-finals bye weekend, after playing Geelong at kardinia park.  There are not enough spew emoticons to sum this up.

Doubtless with Casey tiered out after playing today?.  For those who are unaware only footy fix today is Casey on freebie on Kayo today 1pm EST.   Probably a very depleted team since big squad is presumably somewhere in the air over somewhere.

Gotta stop relying on QLD and WA. They have proven themselves to be unpredictable. Victoria needs to be the hub until the end of the finals.

No they're supposedly flying into Melbourne today.

This is an absolute mess really. GMHB stadium,  Marvel, and MCG are all free tomorrow.  We could have easily played in one of those venue's and then immediately fly out to Peth. We then push next weeks game to a Sunday due to the 7 day lockdown.

The ramifications now of missing a game is potentially huge.

Agree, this makes the most sense. Vic Govt has proven they will at least work with the AFL

They should just tell all teams to come to Melbourne for the remainder of the year.

The AFL are [censored] id iots. This game should have been moved to Marvel for this afternoon during the week instead of Metricon. Gold Coast play Carlton next week in Melbourne so it made sense that GC stay in Melbourne for this week and play in Melbourne again

Bunch of amateurs.

EXACTLY!!!!

Seriously amateur hour, this is ridiculous ?

Silver lining, maybe a week off now is a better timed freshen up for us than in 4 weeks time?

No because the training loads are based on consistency of performance. It’s a disaster for our preparation.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
