Jaded No More 68,976 Posted July 31, 2021 Posted July 31, 2021 You legit couldn’t script this. Worst comedy movie ever! 2
Guest Posted July 31, 2021 Posted July 31, 2021 I guess this gives me more time to get through Cloudstreet and The Wretched of the Earth.?
Nelo 813 Posted July 31, 2021 Posted July 31, 2021 I’m really starting to lose interest in the season now. We always get shafted. 1

Wouldn’t they have to also isolate for 7 days before playing? I’d say we’ll be playing GC in the pre finals bye if indeed we’re headed to Perth as we speak.
bluey 1,120 Posted July 31, 2021 Posted July 31, 2021 AFL should call the season off, it’s all over for us anyway, done and dusted! 1
Demongirl35 1,134 Posted July 31, 2021 Posted July 31, 2021 4 out of the 6 teams play in Victoria next week.. why they didn’t move them to Victoria this weekend is beyond me 1 1
The heart beats true 18,201 Posted July 31, 2021 Posted July 31, 2021 Well I say Victoria hosts all games moving forward, as the government allows teams to play with no crowds even during a lockdown. The potential for this to severely disadvantage certain teams is what it is. The games get played, and it’s a bonus if fans are allowed in. This nonsense today is proof that any other plan isn’t going to work, with Queensland stuffing this up, and WA wanting to make it next to impossible. NSW is out for obvious reasons. SA is the only other state that can make an argument for anything. 3
gs77 4,612 Posted July 31, 2021 Posted July 31, 2021 Just great. Either we'll have our remaining games squeezed into midweek fixtures or we'll play non-contender gold coast during the pre-finals bye weekend, after playing Geelong at kardinia park. There are not enough spew emoticons to sum this up. 1 1

For those who are unaware only footy fix today is Casey on freebie on Kayo today 1pm EST. Probably a very depleted team since big squad is presumably somewhere in the air over somewhere. The heart beats true 18,201 Posted July 31, 2021 Posted July 31, 2021 We also have more grounds in Vic, which means the home team is able to pick their venue. 1
Jaded No More 68,976 Posted July 31, 2021 Posted July 31, 2021 Gotta stop relying on QLD and WA. They have proven themselves to be unpredictable. Victoria needs to be the hub until the end of the finals. 3

This is an absolute mess really. GMHB stadium, Marvel, and MCG are all free tomorrow. We could have easily played in one of those venue's and then immediately fly out to Peth. We then push next weeks game to a Sunday due to the 7 day lockdown. The ramifications now of missing a game is potentially huge. 4

DeeZee 7,496 Posted July 31, 2021 Posted July 31, 2021 (edited) They should just tell all teams to come to Melbourne for the remainder of the year. Edited July 31, 2021 by DeeZee 2 1
Dee*ceiving 1,738 Posted July 31, 2021 Posted July 31, 2021 Silver lining, maybe a week off now is a better timed freshen up for us than in 4 weeks time? 1

This game should have been moved to Marvel for this afternoon during the week instead of Metricon. Gold Coast play Carlton next week in Melbourne so it made sense that GC stay in Melbourne for this week and play in Melbourne again Bunch of amateurs. EXACTLY!!!! Seriously amateur hour, this is ridiculous ? 1

No because the training loads are based on consistency of performance. It’s a disaster for our preparation. 1 1 1
