Hope players are watching this game to remind them of how they were playing in the 11 games they won with defensive pressure fwd of centre and fwds defending causing turnovers.

Our run home :

4 tough games against top 8 sides still to come, I forgot we played the dogs again.

In short I would love a guaranteed top 2 spot locked away before rd 23.

Let’s focus on one week at time, all games will be tough regardless of ladder position as both the crows& pies proved to be

The Cats a shadow away from the comforts GMHBA.

Yes and no, last weeks game Cats v Dogs would’ve taken a lot out of both sides. I think Eagles will roll the Dogs.

Cats recently rolled Port away.

Unbelievable home team favouritism by umps AGAIN.

I hate the cats but the lions are getting the absolute run from the maggots.

Cats get it at their home. Eagles are definitely another team that gets the extra benefit at home from the umps.

Did you watch the second quarter?

God it’s a pleasure to watch Geelong lose. I hate them.

Our [censored] percentage is going to haunt us. Time to start smashing some teams.

Yep Scott will complain that people are booing Selwood, that they have to play away from Geelong and that quarters are just too long to get the best out of a team of players eligible for the AZ.

I like seeing girlong lose like that. They do not have a good midfield.

Don’t know what to take from that game.

Geelong were so bad they deserved to lose by 60+. Don’t be fooled by stats. They were smashed anywhere it mattered with a near full strength side.

Brisbane wasn’t able to get that sort of transition going against us. Our forward line on paper is inferior to Geelong’s but we gave way more of a contest in our forward 50 than theirs did tonight and that makes a huge difference.

That sort of form from Brisbane is scary though. I do not want to draw them in a final at the Gabba in week 1. They only have two more top 8 sides left this year and one is West Coast at the Gabba. They may feasibly only lose once more. Pressure is right on.

Drives me mental this agenda to change the length of the game. OTC etc all need to STFU, is as annoying as hell when they put the centre circle that crueled White's leap at the centre bounce.

Yeah, hope the Cats get up tonight to ensure interstate sides stay away from the top 2.

Which means they’ll lose.

I don’t get this. I’d far rather play Brisbane in the finals than Geelong, even away.

Do we think clubs do? I think in some aspects they would but in others I have no doubt they’d be looking ahead, would be foolish not too.

Nope. And neither does Collingwood, given he's fit but not playing.

Actually, that's not correct:

Look, I'm with you on the uncomfortable part of the loss. The Collingwood side who played yesterday was not the 2018 GF team or the dominant 2018-20 Pies side. We can't keep losing games to weak sides.

Meantime, Collingwood interim coach Robert Harvey has included Mason Cox to the Pies' side for the first time since round four to face Fremantle on Saturday.

You mean our s*** percentage of 132??? I totally agree we need to bury some teams (would love nothing more than to start this week) but we hardly have a bad percentage.

We’re in a BIT of a precarious position when it comes to top 4 positions, losing to the pies brought us back to the pack a little. We need to consolidate our position this week.

Never forget Cox has single-handedly won two finals for Collingwood – the 2018 prelim final against Richmond and the 2020 elimination final against West Coast.

really feel like watching footy but 8 v 13th is hardly getting me going. Another wet slog of the tigers winning by 30 pts

Saints have Marshall and a couple others back, any chance they could win?  they have copped it in the media

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
