Brisbane looked so strong. We never looked like losing once the second half started. Truly surprised based purely on how well Brisbane were playing. What a win.

Listen up Dees fans. There will be ups and downs, but don’t EVER write this team off. We are a very good football team.

Nobody wants us to win. Commentators and journalists want to maintain the narrative about our football club - soft, shaky, lazy. But we aren’t any of those things. We are hard and fast. Stick fat, stick together, and never ever doubt this current group.

Go Dees.

Best win for the year so far.  Clarry again with plenty of others joining in.

The CLUTCH mark by Rivers at HB early in the last.

Spargod was sensational!

T-Mac & May's second half!

ANB and Gus.

You Bloody Bewdy Newc!

All those fair weather sailors go and have a full time look in the mirror. This is not a good team in the making but a great one.

Love seeing the boys go over to the crowd to enjoy it with them. I know that often happens, but seeing that small but loud as f cluster going nuts was just awesome.

So proud of this footy club right now. ❤️?

That was enormous.

We’ve just beaten the two best sides, neither match at our home ground.

We held a high scoring side to 20 scoring shots and 75 points.

We needed a lift at half time, so we lifted. We backed our system in, we turned the tide, and then we scored heavily.

You cannot be anything other than impressed by that.

Looks like a lot of Melbourne fans escaped the lockdown. Good crowd there. LOL.

I think quite a few emigrated after last winter’s lockdown.

Thanks to all demonlanders for your well wishes today.

The boys definitely did it for my mom tonight and I am very grateful.

Well done boys. What a win and great noise from the small crowd.

Even at halftime 20 points down against a top 4 side I felt quite relaxed that we would probably come back and win the game....the team is just on another level at the moment

Is Burgo the best recruit in Melbourne history?

The greatest thing about this year is we can get completely outplayed and still never be out of it. This is bloody exciting to be a part of

Chocco is immense too

It would be nice if we could wait a day before we start bagging the usual suspects. They were part of a great win, give them a break just for the night. Please.

    HIGHLIGHTS/LOWLIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Melbourne traveled across the continent to take on the Fremantle Dockers in sweltering conditions at Mandurah south of Perth in a game that delivered the club both its highlight and its lowlight in the first minute.  But first, let’s start by doing away with the usual cliches used in connection with the game. It was just a practice match and the result didn’t matter. Bad kicking is bad football. The game was played in severe heat, the swirly breeze played havoc with both teams resulting in

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom
